A home away from home

Pet care experience

IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO HAVE YOUR DOG STAY AT MY HOUSE. Fill out the following questions in the request. 1) How do they act with cats (ex: bugging constantly/freaking them out/chasing)? 2)We have a large alpha female dog how are they with that personality? 3) a)Are they crate trained? b)Do you have a crate for them? 4) a)When stressed or at new places does your dog pee inside? b) If you have senior dog that has accidents, Are you will to provide diapers if requested? I use to groom dogs (for 8 years) and have grown up with dogs my whole life, meaning that dogs are part of my family not just a pet and that is how I will treat your pup. I do send pictures on every sitting, I just some time forget to send them through the rover link, and not to the parents direct phone number, so if that is important to you I promise I love helping you know your pup is safe. I do work Monday-Friday 5-8, and with covid I am now working from home. I some times have meeting all day or I have to go in the field. I have been pet sitting/grooming/ranch sitting/working with rescues for over 20 years with dogs for over 20 years, 8 of which I have been a professional groomer to help with my education. I would share if your dog is staying at my house. There are others who live here abs will happily give your dogs love, pets and extra walks and care. Details on what each of my services offer: Dog boarding: So until your dog(s) use to our dogs, they will we are at work they will be crated. When we get home we will let them out with our dogs. They will have full range of our house and yard (with a doggie door). We also do regular walks or dog park which is down the street. My dog is free fed but I can do most schedules. Giving medicine is not an issue since my dog has to take medicine twice a day. I do have some allergies so would need gloves if your dog is taking things I shouldn’t touch. I can groom prices can be confirmed once I meet the dog. grooming ranges 45-150 depending on need and dog breed. Drop by visit: I come by in the morning and at night to walk them 30 minutes or let them out to potty or play with them. If needed or wanted they come with me to the dog park a few times in the evening (College Green Area Only). I feed and fill water bowls up to 2 times a day. I can also water plants and care for other small animals, including reptiles, birds, fish and small mammals. (Depending on care needed price per pet is 3-7 per pet small pet). Walks (College Green Area only)-30 minute walk or 1 hour with me at the dog park (because I am taking my pups). For the walks your dog must be ok with other dogs. I often run with aurora and I am happy to add another dog to that as a fast paced walk or run. Why I love dog sitting I have always grown up with dogs and helped for most of my life with rescues. I have shown dogs, and groomed for about 8 years. I was grooming while in college to help pay for my expensive. I am currently working in my field but miss getting to spend more time with dogs. Meet my pets Aurora is my little rugrat. She is a young adult giant schnauzer who is full of love and energy. She is sweet and loves all dogs. Doctor mewchi is a sweet cat who is both shy abd ruff abs tumble. I have many reptiles all in tanks. My experience administering medication I grew up on a ranch so I have experience with all types and I am able do pills, shots, or anything else needed. I can also do teeth brushing, and any other treatments.

Rachelanne was wonderful -- she was very patient with my crazy hyper pug puppy. We were very worried about leaving our puppy with anyone but she did great and was very adaptive to the challenges of an energetic pup. She also sent daily pictures/videos

Rachelanne was a pleasure to work with and made our trip so much more enjoyable knowing our cats were being well taken care of! We would not hesitate to book her again for our next trip out of town!

Rachelanne was awesome! This was our first Rover experience, A++. She made me feel so comfortable leaving our house and dogs in her hands. The dogs loved her and when we returned home I could tell that they had been well taken care of. Sure they missed us, but they weren’t stressed out like they are when boarding. No way I will ever board again. It’s too hard on a senior dog and our new rescue didn’t have to stress on going back to a kennel. Rachelanne will be our first go to in the future.

Information Rae V. would like to know about your pet

I have experience with all breeds so I have no preference. It is important to find what kind of needs your dog has, as well as any specifics on diet.

A typical day

The walk varies from day to day. I also try to go to the dog park every other day to let them run and play. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: Either in a kennel, the floor on the many dog bed I have set up in my room or the bed with me which ever you or your dog prefers. Time I'll spend with your dog Varies but like 4-10 hours(not including sleeping). This includes the bathroom breaks, walks, letting them chill while I work. Yes, I have no problem with checking the mail and watering plants. I do not mind watching up to 3 dogs in one house. I charge $4 extra for each dog after the 1st. I do charge an extra few to care for caged animals or large amounts of plants. (normally like 5-10 a day max added)
