About Diane

40 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Currently I am working from home & the dogs will have me around all the time.

I have a wonderful large fenced in back yard for lots of running & playing. My Macy (beagle) loves to lay around in the sun & there are many spots in my home for everyone to enjoy. I have had dogs my whole life & have cared for other dogs for many years. 4 legged family members are always welcome here! Just ask my friends (see pics)

Since I am working from home I do have some extra time to spend during the day! (No Commute Time - smile)
If you 4 legged family member needs some thing extra - let's discuss!
ALL our puppy guest must be "business" or "potty" trained!

NOTE: RAVENS home football games - I will be gone all day - this is the only time your pup will be alone longer than a couple hours.

I do have a medium/large crate available in my den area if you need it. Macy has toys she will be happy to share. Picture of the den area is the last 3 pictures shown & is where the dogs hang out on their dog beds.

My back yard is large & allows all dogs some privacy for "business" as well as lots of room to run & play. The pool is currently CLOSED & in fall/winter it is covered with the extra strong "hold an elephant" cover so there will be no problems. In the summer when the pool is open we will talk about your pups water interest before they come to stay.
The pool is NOT for dogs - it has a liner so dogs CAN NOT go/get in. Pool liners are very expensive. Please let me know if your dog has been known to swim!! Thank you.

I invite you & your family to come by my house to check it out! Meet & Greet are wonderful & important for all of us to feel good about booking your family member in. It also makes it less stressful if you pup has already been here.

I am located very close to BWI airport - right off of Rt. 97. so it is convenient to dropping your pup off on the way to the airport. For early drop offs or late pick ups - we can discuss.
PLEASE note that booking overnight is for 24 hours - sure we will discuss your situation - flight times/traffic - no big deal - but some people have taken advantage......so I must put this info in here so there is no misunderstandings or hurt feelings. Most importantly - the premium insurance for your 4 legged family member is for the 24 hours booked only! I may ask to send you a Custom Quote for a half day or if it’s a late night pickup, I may ask that your pup be booked & stay an additional night.

I just created a custom link - which should save you $ when you first sign up for DogVacay only - so please share it with your friends.

Please make sure your profile is filled out regarding your dogs shots, behavior. Also since my yard backs up to woods - make sure flea & tick protection is on your puppy. Never had problems - but better safe than sorry.
I provide a safe home environment for all our 4 legged guests.

When bringing your pup over for their vacation:
please pack bed, food, bowls, treats, favorite toy to help make your pup feel secure while you are away.
Always pack some item - bed, towel, shirt that smells like them & you,
I have found this to be reassuring & lessen any stress that the pup will have being away from you!
Your 4 legged family member will be treated as family here too!

Thank you for thinking of us.
We look forward to meeting you all & making new friends.

This was our dog's third (fourth?) visit with Miss Diane, and it's obvious through her excitement when we pull into the driveway that she loves staying here. Photos of a blissful pup are also proof that Diane makes her feel right at home. If you want to go away and not feel one bit of guilt at leaving your four-legged family member behind, book with Diane.
Excellent care. Scooby is still tired from the experience. Greg
Penny had a great time at Diane's again. Lots of outside play time and a few other dogs to socialize with. Diane is our go-to sitter in the Annapolis area.
Diane was our first experience ever with DogVacay and we couldn't have been more pleased. She has a lovely home with a lot of room for the dogs. We dropped both our girls off for the day and including them there was a total of 6 rambunctious dogs and it didn't seem to phase Diane a bit! She sent us pictures throughout the day which was a comforting update. Drop off and pick up was very easy and she showed us where they would be playing as well as letting us watch the dogs meet each other. Her in house girl Macy is also very very sweet, Penny and Lucy enjoyed her. Definitely a great first experience and anytime we are in the area we will be using her!
Titan loved his last visit with Ms. Diane and Macy! She was very accommodating to our changing travel plans and gave us daily pictures and updates on how Titan was doing. Somehow he always comes home better behaved too!
Our 12 year old beagle had a great vacation! Looking forward for our next visit!
Josie our sweet bulldog loves going to Diane's house, she has so much fun playing when she gets home she passes right out. Its good to know she is getting some extra exercise during the week.
Diane was an excellent host. She sent photos and responded to all my questions while I was away. I especially liked that she works from home so can give more attention and also she does not watch many dogs at once. My dog and hers (both beagles) got along wonderfully. I recommend her for anyone in the area that wants a great DogVacay experience!
Penny had a great visit with Diane while we were on a trip to Florida. Diane was very conveniently located with respect to BWI and was helpful with directions on how to get back and forth. She sent us several pictures from Penny's stay, and it looked like Penny had a lovely time. Drop off and pick up were super simple. Diane's place is perfect for dogs. She has a lovely back yard and, from the pictures, we could tell Penny enjoyed being out there with the other guests.
Diane is really good with the dogs and understanding of their rambunctiousness. Definitely a positive experience. :)
Diane was a wonderful host who gave Wookie lots of loving care, even when her GI tract got a bit out of sorts. I hope Diane didn't have to clean up too much! She also sent lots of photos and updates.

She was very accommodating, willing to have me leave car at her house vs BWI, even have me sleep in my car in driveway when I got back to BWI at very early (2:30 AM) morning hour. (I decided to go home.)

However, if you have a dog who likes to swim, Diane does have a lovely tempting pool that must be off limits to dogs because of sharp doggy nails and fragile pool liner. Diane was kind enough, since I was having trouble finding a sitter I liked, to let me make a fenced enclosure for incurable swimmers like Wookie. (It seems that Diane may keep this in place for present, though it does some injustice to elegance of her otherwise gorgeous yard.)
This was our first time using DogVacay this past weekend and we couldn't be happier with Diane. She has a huge house, all on one floor, where the dogs have pretty much free reign to play and sleep, and a huge fenced-in outdoor area for them to run. She had another dog staying at the same time and she arranged it that the dogs met each other beforehand to make sure all got along. She sent us numerous pictures all three days. It is a huge relief knowing they are somewhere that is safe, they're cared for, and it's fun for them. I think Marley is bored with us now!
Diane was extremely kind and helpful (especially with a worrying mama!) and clearly loves animals. Her home is very doggy friendly with a great layout. Our pups had a great time with her beagle! She sent us an update every day with photos so that we knew they were having a good time.
Diane was great with our newly adopted greyhound, Ella. Ella has only been off of the track for two and a half months and although she has come a long way, she still is rather shy. Diane was very loving and patient with her. You can tell Diane really cares about "her" dogs and provided daily updates with pictures. Ella loved Diane's couch too! Diane was wonderful to work with and very accommodating - thank you you made it easy to enjoy our first vacation away from Ella. P.S. - Macy was a good bonus sitter!
Pepper seemed to have a great time with Diane. I liked how she sent us photos, and was very comfortable with our dog. She has a nice backyard for the dogs to run around in, and works from home - so they are not left unattended for long periods of time. Thanks Diane!
Ms. Diane was absolutely awessome!

My puppy got very sick over the weekend while I was away and she went above and beyond to make him safe and comfortable.

She went and got him special food, made him rice to settle his tummy and even cleaned up some very big messes.

I cannot recommend a better retreat for anyone's dog. They will absolutely love it here.
Diane was a great home away from home for our dog Casey. We were nervous leaving her for a week, having never left her with anyone but family, but it was a great situation. Casey loves to be outside, Diane has a big fenced yard so she could be outside as much as she wanted. Diane also works from home so the dogs had human company more often than not. I would definitely recommend Diane and will be calling her in the future. She also took pictures and sent an update everyday which made us feel so much better!
Lilly had the best time EVER at Diane's. She just loved being with all her buddies running around outdoors and sleeping on the sofa. Apparently she just clung to Diane. She had to be right there under her desk as she worked. We want to plan another trip just so that Diane can watch her again.
Diane could not have been easier to work with, drop off and pick up were easy, the back yard was large with a high fence and Cali got lots of love and attention. Diane even texted us photo while we were gone. I would highly recommend Diane and Cali will be back for another visit!
Diane was a wonderful and accommodating host to our dog. It was obvious when we picked up our pup that she was very comfortable with Diane, her dog and the dog-friendly surroundings. Photos and texts Diane sent were much appreciated.
Charlie brown told me that he had a great time---especially with that little white dog. He must have had a great time--when he came home, he slept for 12 hours. It is obvious that Diane loves dogs.
Paw-some is an understatement! I'm not certain if I marked 5 stars properly, but Diane deserves at LEAST 5 stars! Cookies' stay was fantastic! I don't think she wanted to come home. Diane gave us daily updates with picts (so fun) and her accommodations were great! A fenced yard and a furry friend were two bonuses we appreciated. We will always check with Diane first when planning other trips away from home. Thanks Diane, for a great stay.
More than peace of mind ;)
This was my first time ever with a dogsitter, but Diane made this process so easy! She responded super-quick and was available for me for a last-minute request on a busy holiday weekend! She was very sweet, welcoming, assuring, and accommodating to our needs. She provided me with pictures and updates daily! Daisy had a great time, and seems to miss her new friends! Diane was a life-saver for me!:)
Diane was absolutely incredible with our dog. Her home is super "dog friendly" and she has an obvious love for animals. Diane even texted us a few times a day with pictures of Mitsy and updates of how she was doing. We would highly recommend her and certainly plan to utilize her again the next time we are out of town.
