About Sue

50 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am retired so home a lot & take morning & evening walks with my dog.
There is a dog park in Scotts Valley if your dog likes to play with other dogs or the ball chucked too.

I have one big yellow lab whose 8yrs & a beta dog & gets along with all. I usually only take one clients pets at a time & if dog stays the next morning past 11 or 12, I do charge additional daycare fee.

I'll especially like your dog if house-trained, heels on a leash & not a barker, & well groomed. (Smaller dogs are easier for me now). I want to watch dogs who will mesh in my home and with big Jim. We will do everything to make your pet feel at home.

I do know dogs will be dogs and I've had experience with all types & can handle most anything unexpected that can happen.
I will need prior meet & greet with your dogs me & my dog & I will treat your pet like one of my family & they will have run of my house & yard. My area is somewhat semi-rural with critters roaming at night periodically.

I will make your pet feel right at home.

Thanks, Sue

Sue was great! Dexter was so excited to run around a large yard with a very sweet doggy friend after a 14 hour car ride and being cooped up in a hotel! Dexter is a very sensitive soul, and won't hesitate to tell me if someone's been mean to him (he shys away and hides behind his parents if a stranger yells at him).. that wasn't the case with Sue! He was happy to see us when we picked up, but kept going back to sue for more love and attention. We forgot our leash and had to go back, he was just as wiggly to see her and her pup Jim when we pulled up to get it back! Sue was a very kind lady and treated our boy like her own even though he's a goofy puppy. We will definitely be in contact with Sue again if we decide to visit the Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley area again! Thank you again Sue for letting our boy enjoy your beautiful home!
Sue took perfect care of our standard poodle!
We always feel stressed leaving him and her calm confidence really helped us let go and enjoy our trip. Sue was kind, responsible and really knows dogs. Our pooch was rested and so relaxed when we brought him home after one week with Sue.
I'm so greteful for her excellent care!
Sue is much closer to home then the 40 mile away "dog sitter" where I had been confidently leaving Sierra. I was a "nervous dog master" about leaving her with a different sitter, but Sue is highly professional. She showed herself to be a "dog person" at the "meet and greet". She requested all the necessary information from immunizations to behavioral issues, and Sierra "fit right in". Sierra had excellent walks and exercise, and stayed within her normal routines. I have no reservations about Sue as a "dog sitter". Sue is outstanding.
From the moment we met Sue it was obvious she's a dog lover! My two puppies made themselves right at home as soon as we dropped them off. Upon picking them up they were calm, happy, relaxed and it was obvious they were well taken care of.
We're thrilled we have found Sue and are looking forward to our next time with her.
Sue was wonderful from first contact all the way until Jupiter came home.

She is sweet, loving and responsive. Having had a larger dog before, I knew Jupiter was in good hands. I love that she even put her own name/number on Jupiter's collar throughout his stay. It gave me great piece of mind.

Jupiter returned home happy and I'm sure if he could he'd also give her two thumbs up!
I felt Spencer was in great hands with Sue. She has a safe environment for dogs and took excellent care of our big guy. I highly recommend her for caring for your dog. I can tell she really cares. She made me feel at ease leaving our dog with her.
Sue made sure to ask about all our dogs habits and needs. She took care of our 2 terriers who can be a handful sometimes. She took them on walks and let them play in her backyard. We really appreciate the care and individualization she provided for them.
Zuzu is not used to being left and she is a rather "worried" pup. Sue really heard this and understood. Sue took her time with her and kept things low key. She took Zuzu for two walks (the same walk, so Zuzu got the start of a routine! ) and they spent time in the garden together. Zuzu had time to become familiar with Sue and her house. Zuzu was right by Sue's side all day, as expected!

Sue is really perfect! ...she is reliable, knows dogs, is patient, and, Zuzu likes her!! I feel lucky!
