My girlfriend and I are both dog owners and dog lovers. I work from home for a tech start-up, and so am with our dogs for the vast majority of the day. My girlfriend is at work during the day but helps to take care of them in the morning and evening.
Our dogs are both well socialized, friendly, and rather active. One dog is Pekingese-Chihuaha mix and the other is a mutt I believe to be part Rhodesian Ridgeback/Beagle. The dogs play with each other through out the day and have lived together for roughly 6 months.
On an average day with decent weather (our dogs hate the rain), the dogs will receive walks somewhere around 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, and 9pm. Depending on how much time I have or how nice the weather is, I'll bring them up to Tompkins Square Park or to East River Park to allow them to run around for a little bit.
We have a 1-bedroom in the Lower East Side that gets plenty of morning sun where our dogs like to tan. The apartment features floor to ceiling windows so dogs that like watch the cars and people pass by all day will have more than their fair share of entertainment.
There are two other people on my floor that are used to a bit of barking noise as the dogs are free to roam through the apartment. We have plenty of treats, toys, peanut butter, comfortable places to lay, etc...
We're more than happy to do a quick meet and greet to ensure all dogs and people are happy!
