I work from home and I take breaks throughout the day to let my pets cheer me up and relieve stress. I take them outside and I cuddle with them. They eat sticks and I laugh. I live in an air conditioned home where it stays in the 70s no matter how hot it is outside, and in the winter the house stays in the 60s. There is a covered porch area adjoining the backyard that the dogs can sit in if they want the outdoor air but not all that heat. There is even a ceiling fan out there to keep them cool. They can always come inside and stay cool as well.
Typically I get up before work and walk the dogs, then I feed them in the morning, replace the water from last night. I visit them around 10AM and then at 12PM, always cuddling and changing out water as needed. I visit again in the afternoon and then when work is over and it begins to cool outside I take the dogs for another walk if they are up to it.
Your dog must be house broken. If your dog goes to the bathroom in the house twice you will be asked to find other accommodations. I let the dogs out frequently but if they can't hold it overnight while I am asleep, or if they can't hold it for 4 hours while inside the house (the longest period between bathroom breaks) then I can't board your dog.
I use gates and little wire fences to keep the dogs from wandering up to the front door and also from going up stairs or onto some of the furniture. If your dog jumps fences and/or pushes down gates then I can't board your dog.
