Highly Experienced Pet Care Provider

Pet care experience

I have worked in a private rehabilitation shelter caring for dogs and cats for the last 5 years, previously I worked a farm for 3 years. I have also dedicated free time of weekends and holidays caring for small mammals, amphibians, and reptiles at a local high school, used as part of the education program. I am highly experienced will all dog and cat breeds as well as medical problems, administering oral, subcutaneous, and topical medications, as well as all temperaments (both breed specific and general). I frequently care for the dogs and cats I adopt out as they have difficulties boarding due to their graphic pasts. I care for every pet as if they were my own, ensuring that they are as happy and comfortable as they are when their families are home. In addition to pet sitting I offer dog walking. I can provide references upon request, look forward to hearing from you and potentially caring for your family companions!

Sarah looked after our two Yorkies and she was absolutely wonderful! Kris had to have medication twice a day which she gave him. She gave frequent feedback on how they were with photos of them, which I loved! I will definitely leave them with her again.

Sarah watched my dogs for 10 days about a month ago. I have two dogs and work from home so they have beyond extreme separation anxiety, so I was very tentative to travel, but had to leave the country so taking my dogs with me was not an option. A close friend of mine recommended her to me and I tried it. I am so beyond grateful for Sarah and her services. She brought my dogs everywhere with her, fortunately she has a job allowing her to bring them to work with her, she brought them to local dog parks and even brought them to a dog bakery to pick out their own snacks and then stopped at PetSmart to let them pick out some new toys, much more than I would ever expect any petsitter to do. She kept me updated sending me at least two texts with pictures of my babies and responded to all my messages. My female dog, Madison, takes a while to warm up to people and can be snippy, Sarah had no issues at all with her and Madison trusted her within minutes of Sarah watching her. I returned home to a wonderful picture collage of my dogs "Vacation with Sarah" and them happily asleep in their beds snuggled with their new toys, I have Sarah routinely come take them on trips now as they love to leave the house and adventure with her, they always come home super happy and then sadly walk around for at least an hour after she leaves. I couldn't have found a better pet sitter if I had duplicated myself! She truly is amazing

Sarah watched my four pit bulls for me when my mother suddenly passed away. She lives in Germany and we had to pack her remaining belongings, so I was gone for close to a month. My dogs all have medical issues, each unique to themselves. Sarah not only came last minute to care for my dogs, but she also completed all of their medical requirements, including a diabetic dog and another that requires multiple injections for arthritis. She spent tons of time with them and brought them on little "field trips" to local parks and ponds to keep their days fun. I hate to say, but I think my dogs were somewhat saddened to see me come home and her have to leave. Sarah really has a gift and bonds with dogs in ways I've seen no one bond with. My middle dog is very dominant and can be aggressive and difficult to handle at times, but Sarah quickly took the dominance role away from her and takes care of her with no issues (something that took me 2 years of intensive training to do). I highly recommend to her to everyone who asks me for a referral to pet sitter, she provides beyond satisfactory care and ensures that each any every pet receives the TLC they need.

Information Sarah S. would like to know about your pet

I would like to be informed of a feed, walk, and medicating schedule as I make sure my schedule adjusts to match the dogs daily routine, to make it as normal and comfortable as possible why the owners are away. I love to care for all breeds, but will always have a little spot in my heart for the bully breeds.

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog I make sure my schedule adjusts to the dogs normal day, so I will spend the usual amount of time the family spends with them, in addition to a few fun trips for your dog. Extra house-sitting services I can do any additional tasks, including by not limited to, watering plants, caring for fish, amphibians, small animals, etc., bring in mail and news paper, logging and reporting missed phone calls to you, taking out garbage & recycling, and delivering or picking up items.

Why I love dog sitting I have loved dogs since I was born. I was born into a family of 5 dogs and by age 10 I was walking dogs in my neighborhood. I got hired at 14 in a kennel, solely due to my high level of experience and well natured ability to handle dogs. I now pet sit, as I started doing this shortly after working in the shelter when the dogs I adopted out had difficulties boarding or needed someone to stop by and let them out, quickly pet sitting turned into a hobby and I'm always looking for a few lovely pets to stay with.
