Hi folks, I'll be traveling a lot this spring and won't be available for pet sitting :/ but I will be back :)
Hi my name is Megan and I LOVE DOGS. I recently put my account on hold to travel but now I'm back and can't wait to see all my four legged friends!
My goal is to give pets enough exercise that they don’t notice you are gone. Some pets get very stressed when their owners head out of town, but with the right strategy and mindset, I believe that any pet can accomplish pure relaxation and have their own mini-vacation while you’re away.
Walks: I like to give dogs one on one time, unless they live together or already know one another. I feel this is the best way I can give them my undivided attention, add in some leash training and have the overall calmest walk possible.
Outings: I like my pets fully exercised so that they are physically and mentally exhausted and can take a nice long nap. That being said, I think hiking and beach trips expel the most energy for dogs. I adore going hiking with my two dogs and if it's ok with you, I'd love to bring your pup along.
For the beach, I often like to take my clients pets to swim at the Huntington dog park. They have so much fun and I am more than happy to wash your pup before returning him or her to you (organic, hypoallergenic shampoo and conditioner only).
If traffic is bad, I will skip going to Huntington or Malibu to Hike and I will take a nice LONG walk along the Santa Monica and Venice beaches. If there is time afterwards and the day is nice I will stop by some of my favorite dog friendly vendors to treat your pet to a cool drink of water and a dog friendly snack or two.
I also live near the Santa Monica Dog Park (next to the Airport) and if your dog is registered, friendly with others and you are ok with it, I will take them there to socialize. If you don't like the dog park but your dog is good off leash I know a few open fields where we can play fetch uninterrupted.
Low Key Activities: If your dog isn’t really the active type, I am happy to Netflix and chill with him/her or play with toys inside. I have plenty of dog movies, so if they are like my two boys and want to watch, I'd be happy to put something on that's more their style.
CATS: If you have an indoor cat and you want them to get some natural sunlight, I also have a cat leash and harness and would be happy to take a stroll or just sit on the front porch and watch the birds. If you don’t want your kitty outside, I have more than enough cat toys to go around to make sure they are playing and expelling energy (great for helping overweight cats shed a few pounds).
Currently I am primarily a weekend walker although I am not opposed to helping out during the week so long as it is after 5:30 pm.
Call, text or email me today to set up an appointment, I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend!
