About Becca

10 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Welcome to Happy Tales Dogsitting! I am happy to cater to all your dog's needs. I work in a veterinary office, so I am comfortable taking care of specific dietary and medical needs, including medication administration.

Working at a veterinary office gives me the flexibility to bring your dog to work with me! You have the option of having your dog come to work with me or staying in my apartment.

I live 0.5 miles from the Schuykill River Dog Run and offer daily trips to the dog park if your pup likes to go there. My goal is to provide at least 5 walks each day.

In my apartment, I am able to accommodate one dog. If you have more than one dog, I am happy to stay in your home to watch all of your pups!

My apartment is on the smaller side, so if your pup is over 70 lbs, I am happy to stay in your home as well to give your pup the appropriate amount of space for playing.

If you own a cat, I will also watch your cat in your home.

For in home stays, I offer plant watering services and garbage removal services on trash day.

Please note that I live on the fourth floor of a building with no elevator. If your dog is unable to walk up four flights of stairs, I am happy to carry your pup, providing the pup is not larger than 30 lbs. For the stair-challenged seniors larger than 30 lbs., I am happy to stay at your home to accommodate their orthopedic needs.

I require up to date rabies and canine distemper vaccines. I must have a paper or emailed copy prior to your pup's vacay.

I require that dogs are on monthly heart worm prevention and flea and tick prevention.

I require that dogs have their own crate, are crate trained, and fully house broken. I do not accept dogs that use pee pads.

**Please note that starting January 2016, I will be charging $40/night for holidays.
**Please note that I recently increased my prices to $27/night for boarding and $37/night for home stays.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to have found Becca. Her communication is very prompt and informational making the meet-n-greet and booking process very seamless. She is very flexible and tries her very best to accommodate your needs. This was my 1st trip away in which my dog has stayed with someone other than family. I was very much at ease and felt that he was in great hands with Becca. She kept me informed on how he was adjusting and sent comforting pictures daily. When I returned he didn't appear distressed at all maybe even a little sad to be leaving. The cherry on the top was Becca actually logged his daily activities and how he spent each day with her. I can be a bit rigid when it comes to my dog and making sure he is properly cared for, however, I was extremely satisfied with the excellent care and attention that was shown to my Logan during his dogvacay. Becca is top notch and we will be booking her in the future.
Our German Shepherd Adi had such an amazing time with Becca while we were away. Not only did Becca keep us up to date with Adi's adventures to the dog parks, hiking and playing endless games of fetch, but she actually stitched up two of the legs on one of her toys and even dropped her off with a detailed itinerary of their weekend. Adi left Becca's happy and tired after a weekend of exercise and playtime. Becca took the time to get to know us and Adi before their weekend, which really made us feel more comfortable as first time DogVacay users. So happy to have found a great sitter, and we will definitely be repeat customers.
Becca was seriously amazing with our 7 month old goldendoodle Remy! It was Remy's visit with Becca and he loved her. She made us feel comfortable leaving him with her by sending us photos, updates, all while maintaining his daily routine (including exercise and grooming). He was smiling in every picture and we could tell he was having a blast with her! Becca is very sweet and even gave us a detailed outline of what they did each day. We cannot say enough great things about her! We're very lucky to have found her and know Remy can't wait to visit her again! :)
Becca was the most incredible host to my pup, Nellie! It was Nellie's first time, since her recent adoption, staying with anybody else so I was really nervous how it would all go, but Becca was the best host I could have wished for. She was extremely communicative and sent me daily updates and pictures. She took Nellie on hikes, long play dates in the park, and even to her family home during the holidays. Becca was also able to bring Nellie (and all her stuff) back to my apartment for a very small fee, since I don't have a car myself. Nellie even seems to be homesick for Becca... but I know they'll see each other again because whenever I need to leave town again, Becca will be my absolute top choice to take care of our dog! Thank you so much for everything :)
Becca was a great host to our puppy! We left for one week and she was always responsive as well as very interactive with our puppy, we received few pictures of our dog daily
