Stay at Home Groomer & Dog Dad
Pet care experience
I'm a weird one! That usually translates dogs and kids trusting me lots and enjoying my company. I have over a decade of experience in the pet industry, from everything to veterinary hospitals to grooming salons. I'm the owner of Bigmouth Grooming in Central City, and owned a socialized boarding business in Baton Rouge for 5 years. I'm a experienced pet handler and low-stress groomer with a gentle hand. I could write a whole damn book on the things that could go wrong, and how to prevent that from happening. Happy dog, happy home, right? Let's talk.
Reviews
This was our first stay thru DogVacay and it was a very pleasant experience. Danielle took time to understand Bailey's personality and habits and was very accommodating. We will never send her to a kennel again, this is a much better option and it is what she is used to, a home environment! The entire process was easy and we will use it again.
She was great, Zoe was very relaxed when we left her and when we picked her up. Even though she was glad to see me and gave me kisses, she was not frantic. I will be having Danielle to take care of Zoe again.
This was the second time we used Danielle, because of how well she took care of our dog the first time. It was an extended stay this time. We were extremely happy when we picked up a happy pup upon our return home. Thanks again, Danielle!
This is the first time I have used a sitting service in home and am very pleased. Danielle welcomed Baby. Will use again.

Exchanging lots of information upfront will help us both relax while you're away. A couple of things to be aware of: - No open doggy doors while you're gone - Meet and greet before your first booking is required so that I can check the yard, etc. - No trips to the dog park but we can go on field trips to Audubon or City Park - Martingale collar or harness with current pet ID and contact information (I can provide both for a fee) - I may request behavioral meds depending on separation anxiety, storm anxiety, etc. - No walks for brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds from 8 - 5 pm during the summers - I don't typically use retractable leashes other than for trips to the park - No people-food offered other than dog-safe things like turkey etc & with your consent - I will under no circumstance physically correct your pet, even if you ask me to - Your dog(s) will likely not be allowed to mingle with other dogs on walks... its not worth the risk - Under no circumstances will your pet be off-leash off your property - Medication instructions must be communicated before you leave - A local, back up contact is required in case of emergency - I will ensure your pets safety in case of hurricanes and storms as worst-case scenario
