All dogs welcome! I work from home as a freelance writer and my husband is active duty. We lost our sweet pug, Oscar, in March of 2016 after 13 wonderful years of companionship. In October of 2016, we brought home our new bundle of pugly joy, Otis!
I have extensive experience with dogs of all breeds and was always my neighborhood's 'go to girl' for pet sitting when I lived in Norfolk, VA. I'm very comfortable with administering oral and optical medications as well as injections (Oscar was diabetic).
There is plenty of room in our backyard for your dog to run around and they are welcome to lounge anywhere in our home. We live in a quiet neighborhood that's perfect for walks.
I will take two dogs from the same family at once, but not 2 dogs from different families as there is no way of knowing how they will interact with one another.
I prefer to do a meet and greet before any overnight stays, but realize that they can sometimes be hard to coordinate. Otis is very friendly around other puppies and dogs and has not demonstrated any territorial behavior. He's fixed, housebroken, and full of energy, so low energy/elderly dogs may not be the best fit at this time.
I promise to treat your dog(s) as I do mine, with the utmost love and care.
