About Harriet

25 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am a retired Johns Hopkins professional and have a flexible schedule and usually home all day.
My home is a warm and inviting townhouse in a small development (75 units) on 2 adjoining cul-de-sacs. The neighborhood is very dog friendly and requires walking on a leash and diligent poop management. The fenced-in community has grassy play areas and is on a private street with limited traffic.
I'm in Baltimore County below the beltway and convenient to I-83 and Rte 695 - a short drive to several dog parks.
I own my home and live with my 12-year old miniature poodle, Ziggy. I have 25+ years of experience as a dog owner and dog lover. Your pet will be lovingly cared for in a safe, secure home according to their routine.

Why book with me?
As a longtime dog lover and dog owner, I have learned to care for dogs and to pay attention to signals from dogs with varied histories. I have been a volunteer at Maryland SPCA where I've been trained in dog walking and providing appropriate care. I also have personal experience with elderly and special needs dogs.
I am a mature, responsible and reliable individual and have worked successfully for several Fortune's 50 companies. You can be confident that I will ask questions for specifics about your dog, follow directions and focus on your priorities to ensure a great stay.
Most importantly you can trust that I will treat your pet and property with respect as private and precious.
I prefer dogs 30 lbs or less; All dog(s) must be house broken and up to date on vaccinations. If I'm in your house, crate trained is okay.
All rates are negotiable. Holiday rates may apply.

Harriet took excellent care of our dog, Bailey, who had never been away from us for so long - 3 days. She emailed regular updates and photos. Harriet did a great job replicating Bailey's daily routine to make her stay easier. Harriet is a caring and attentive host and we feel very lucky to have found her on DogVacay.

We highly recommend her.

Harriet was awesome. Cody came home and it was business as usual. You would have never known we left him. Obviously Harriet gave him just what he needed - lots of attention, never-ending belly rubs and plenty of time outdoors!
