About Stephanie

15 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I absolutely love dogs! I took care of my Yellow Lab for over 15 years and loved every minute of it. She passed away recently and I miss having a dog around. I am excellent at taking care of elderly dogs. I know how to administer various medications, how much activity they need, and how to give the best belly rubs and ear scratches. I also volunteer at the local animal shelter so I am well-versed in taking care of various kinds of dogs.

I live on the 2nd floor of a pretty quiet apartment building. I work a typical 9-5 job during the week, but I work locally so I can come home during the day to check in/take out any dog in my care. On weekends I will be home all day unless I'm taking your pup on an adventure!

A stay with me means that your dog will have free reign in my apartment, a great neighborhood for going on walks, an excellent park nearby, and all the belly rubs they want!

Some people are amazing with children. They have the ability to make an instant connection - and the children feel it. Stephanie has this relationship with dogs. They gravitate towards her because they are drawn to her. I think she's part canine.

There is nobody who will take better care of your puppy (young or old).

Stephanie is probably one of the best dog parents I have ever met, and I know a lot. No one cares more for her pets than Stephanie. Stephanie owned a wonderful yellow lab for a very long time, and as Carmella got older, Stephanie did everything she could to keep her happy and healthy. She would cook meals specifically for her since the kibble was getting to be too hard for the dog's joints due to the sodium. When Carmela, started having issues walking up and downstairs, Stephanie carried the 70lb dog up and down any time Carmela needed it. Her care for the dog never wavered. She would be a perfect pet sitter for anyone because she would treat your dog just like hers. Anything they need, she would do, no questions asked. If you had to pick one pet sitter in all of Maine, Stephanie should be the one.

Stephanie is the biggest dog lover I know. She has a special affinity for older fur babies. I don’t know anyone who is a better caregiver for pups. I am certain she will give your pup(s) LOTS of attention and PLENTY of love. She works in an environment with animals and when she isn’t working she is volunteering at the local animal shelter. If she lived closer to me, there is NO ONE I would choose over her to watch my fur baby, parents included.

Stephanie is amazing with all animals, but especially dogs. She is kind, warm and affectionate. She will always put the dog first and make sure s/he is happy, safe and well taken care of. She has a special place in her heart and will do whatever is necessary to make any dog feel at home -- no matter what it takes. She's a total natural with any dog -- and I've seen her with many over the past 15 years!

Stephanie is the most caring human being I have ever known. Not only does she put everyone before her, but she has a natural instinct to take care of dogs. She has always taken care of my little dogs and took it upon herself to treat them like her own. She also took care of our family dog, Carmela, until the very end.

Watching her care for her even when she was sick, was touching. Though it was hard for her to give Carmela around the clock care, she did it with joy.

Stephanie put her ahead of herself the entire time she was alive. She would do it again too. She is a selfless person who finds joy in our family pets.
