My name is Judith and together with my two retrievers Marley (9) and Tony (5) and our 3 cats we invite your puppy to stay with us - be it for a few hours, a day or overnight.
We've been dog sitting and boarding in our home for about 5 years and have had many happy clients. Pack walks are a great experience for dogs and a friend who's once in a while walking her dogs with us always notices how calmer her dogs are during and up to 3 days after the walks.
My life evolves all around the animals: I volunteer for Domestic Animal Services both in the shelter as well as a fostering both cats and dogs regularly, and also for the Naples Humane Society.
My dogs and I usually go walking or running 4 miles in the morning around sunrise, followed by at least two more walks during the day and evening, as well trips to dog beach or parks. During the hot summer season we keep the day time walks to a minimum and make up for it in the evenings.
My two boys are both rescues and trained by me. I take them pretty much everywhere I go, coffee shops, stores, diy stores, restaurants etc. and get a lot of compliments on how well behaved they are. We lived in Germany until March 2015 where there is no leash law and so they roamed free 95% of the time and are trained to stay with me.
I have also been helping friends with "dog problems". I have learned a lot through trainers as well as reading dog training- and psychology books and watching pretty much every single Cesar Milan show at least once (I am a HUGE fan). I am working on becoming a certified dog trainer next year.
We have three friendly cats living with us, so if your pooch would stay with us he or she shouldn't be a complete cat hater ;-) Everything else we can train :-D
Looking forward to welcoming your puppy with us
(note: The nightly rate is for a 24hr period. The additional day-rate is $30. There is a discount for regulars, multi-nights and well behaved and well trained dogs.)
While I have never refused to board a dog yet or sent someone home, I reserve the right to charge up to double fee for non-trained and/or non-socialized dogs that require special care and training in order to make their stay a pleasant one for everybody in the house.
