My husband & I moved out to the country about 3 years ago. With more land to enjoy, we have found our love for animals has blossomed. We have owned a great assortment of pets in out 27 years of marriage including dogs, cats, parrots and bearded dragons. I am fortunate to work from home. Our pets get to be by my side throughout the day so we can play & romp as often as we like. If I leave the house on any given day, it is typically to run a few errands. I'm usually gone no more than an hour. Our home is secure with only one story and gates block off forbidden areas. We also have a doggie door, that leads out to a secure 5 foot wrought iron play area, but it only accommodates smaller dogs.
