About Rachael

13 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Attention Sweet Pup!

Come enjoy the morning sunshine with me as I tend to the flowers and strawberries in my back garden. If you want a little time to relax in the shade, you can hop up on to the outdoor chaise under the white lilac bush and stretch out for a little snooze. If you get lucky, you just may catch the the purple finch or blacktail swallow butterfly who has been frequenting these parts lately.

Later, we can stroll over to Prospect Park (just one block away) to make new friends and take in the sites by the waterfall. We will be sure to check out the "big dawgs" swimming around at Doggie Beach along the way. They sure know how to make a splash!

If you stick around for a slumber party, I have plenty of room to spare. Make yourself cozy and comfortable on the sofa or ottoman. The cool marble slab in front of the fireplace seems to be a real canine favorite, too.

And, there will always be plenty of kisses and cuddles to spare while you are here!

To the owner:

To take care of my cavalier King Charles spaniel was an honor and a privilege and I will feel the same way about your little furry family member.

I had fun training my dog as a puppy and remember the challenge well.
I enjoyed taking care of my dog as a senior and remember that challenge well, too.

I am very comfortable giving oral medications (liquid and pill) as well as brushing teeth, if required.

I have two floors and a backyard for your dog to explore freely. He/she is allowed on the sofas and in the bedroom but not on the bed. Please bring your dog freshly bathed. I will happily give him/her a hair brushing every day if your dog enjoys it!

I also have two dedicated dog blankets in the house with lots of plush toys for your pup to play with. (Blankets and toys are washed after each guest's visit.) Finally, my home is toxin-free as I use all eco-friendly cleaners.

I have volunteered in the past as a dog walker for the ASPCA and for BARC Animal Rescue Shelter, both through New York Cares. As such, I am very comfortable spending time with new dogs, learning to read their body language and how to make them feel at ease in new situations.

We love our neighbors, so please, only silent barking permitted. :-)

Rachel is amazing! She's so kind and Ollie didn't want to leave
Rachael is amazing!!! My little guy, Dax, has had some of his happiest days at her house for daycare! Dax is typically timid when he meets new people, but he ran right up to her the first day and didn't look back for me :-) She sends pictures and always includes a note about their day. She has a kind and gentle demeanor that could put any dog at ease. Highly recommended!!!

Rachel is a knowledgeable and warm hearted dog lover. I was completely at ease having left our dog, Daisy in her care while visiting friends up state. She was conscientious and very well stocked with dog toys, dog bed and anything else a dog could need. We got many photos and a report and most importantly Daisy loved her stay and Rachel! I would definitely recommend Rachel for your dogs care.

Rachael is such a warm, kind and caring person. She is a total dog lover who took the time to connect with our rescue pup and made her feel so welcome. She's professional and organized, so you know your dog is in very capable hands too. Her home is spacious and the garden is perfect for dogs to relax and sniff around in complete safety. Very rare for New York. Knowing we have Rachael to call on means we can go on vacation without worrying!!

Rachel was the best sitter we could have asked for for our two dogs (yorkie and toy poodle). She kept us updated, sent pix, and even provided us a recap of their day. She even was available on short notice. Bottom line -- highly recommended!!
