My husband Guy and I have been caring for, training and loving dogs since we were 5 and 7 years old. One of my first dogs was an Olde English Sheepdog named Josh that was bigger than me and bumped into EVERYTHING, but I always had the last word. We were inseparable. Guy's best friend, Esty, was a champion herder, trying to put his little child self into a corner - but he always figured out how to get her to play and run outside instead. Fast forward decades later. I now enjoy a wonderful writing career that has taken me all over the world, and Guy is retired. Our love for animals has extended to all of the dogs, cats, birds and exotics we have personally owned and loved, and to the hundreds of other animals we have cared for and provided both physical and psychological training. Several years ago, before we were married, I lost "the one" (we've all had them, haven't we?) She was a 13 year old Yorkie named Molly. She was smart, fun and passionate. About everything! Though we now have no pets of our own, we would be a great reason to breathe easy during your leave since we have been in your situation for a great number of years. When I was traveling heavily, little Molly went to a caregiver she loved her whole life. The caregiver was experienced and responsible and handled every situation (even the tough ones) while I was gone. It gave me peace of mind to focus on my travel. Molly never knew what a real "kennel" was, and we wish that happiness and joy for you and your pet. We took a little break to enjoy life and our own travel for a bit and now we have decided to return to our love of animals and taking care of yours. I still work from home without the travel and Guy is retired, our desire to make your travel worry-free has deepened, and your peace of mind our priority. Whether your dog loves the dog park, a quiet walk in nature, city-slicking it on the neighborhood sidewalks or just lounging peacefully on the couch, fun and peace are on the menu.
