With two host dogs and a cat, we enjoy hosting one dog at a time for the best possible experience for all. My husband Tom and I are delighted to welcome a healthy, spayed/neutered, well-mannered (obedience-trained) pooch to vacation at our laid-back and spacious "Morgan Ranch." Guest dogs must either have experience (positive) with cats or be non-reactive. Our Lab Mix "Hobo" and Puggle "Peanut" are thoroughly social pups who crave romps and playtime with new friends around our large fenced backyard, followed by walks in our quiet neighborhood --plus a little treat and a nap.
We adhere closely to your pup's feeding, potty and exercise schedule and welcome you to check-in for updates. A successful stay begins with details regarding what makes your pet really happy and particular words/commands your pet knows. Reinforcing obedience training and good manners is just another service we cheerfully provide.
If a pet has issues when left alone, we might need to confine him to one area. The same goes for pets that don't potty outdoors and use newspaper/pads. While they are trained this way in their own home, it doesn't necessarily mean they'll follow that training in ours.
We insist on a Meet & Greet before any booking so all can get acquainted and we can determine if it's a great match. It's a good idea to arrange the Meet & Greet FIRST before making any reservations for an actual stay with us.
Our happiest pup-guests are low to moderate energy with manners and some obedience training. We may require a higher fee for the first two days for dogs needing significantly more attention, supervision or assistance adjusting to a new environment.
Also available: doggy daycare and playdates -- one dog at a time.
Our home is on one level; the basement is the cat's exclusive domain. We have several bedrooms and a large open floor plan. A spacious deck overlooks our large shady backyard. It's a tranquil environment, especially good for pets that like peace and quiet. And yes we've got Central Air for hot and humid summer days.
We deliver "peace of mind" when you leave 'em behind, outstanding care and superior customer service. After all, we're pet parents too!
In addition, I provide traveling pet care to let-out or walk dogs, cat feeding/litter tidy, collect mail and newspapers, etc. Due to an ever-changing schedule, I am better prepared to accommodate a short-term walking schedule, as opposed to a long-term, weekly commitment.
