I have done a few pet sitting jobs here and there as a teenager, including caring for my neighbor's dog when the whole family went to Florida for two weeks. As I lived only around the corner, overnight care wasn't necessary, but I went over every day and took her for daily walks, made sure she had enough food and water and spent a few hours in the mornings and evenings just to keep her company and play with her.
