My name is Kevin and I recently moved to Delray Beach with my dog Dundee (Border Collie/Australian Cattledog mix), after spending five years in DC. Aside from being a lifelong dog owner, I've volunteered at the Washington Humane Society. Your pet would simply join Dundee's exercise routine (2 daily, half hour walks and mid-day walk or potty break in the early afternoon. We've had guest dogs that range from an 8-month-old Yorkie to an 85 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback and Dundee has gotten along well with all of them. However, he was a rescue and I don't think he ever learned how to play. He just awkwardly stands there wagging his tail when meeting another dog. It's funny to watch, but can be confusing for other dogs :) Our apartment has a fenced-in dog park and it will be your choice whether or not I take your dog there. If there's concern, I'm quite happy to make sure your dog gets plenty of exercise in other ways. I look forward to hosting your pup!
