I live in a nice neighborhood at the end of a culdesac about one mile from exit 58 I-95. My family room opens up to our deck so dogs can spend time oudoors on the deck overlooking the woods while I am home. I have a big yard and my property is on the West River and dogs love to walk down and get their feet wet or just hang out.
We walk the dogs in our neighborhood or take a short ride to walk by the Guilford Green, trails or local beach/marina area.
Our town has a new dog park open to all licensed dogs who have been socialized with other dogs which we go to often with owners permission.
I am very comfortable with dogs and have taken some obedience training. I have a pet gate to separate living spaces on my first floor just in case dogs need to be separated.
I have my husband and recent college grad son home this fall to help out also. My two dogs are very friendly but I realize dogs have to be introduced one on one on mutual territory. I work in New Haven and can possibly pick your dog up after work on a weeknight to save you a trip.
