I have been a dog owner for over 27 years and a foster home for senior dogs for the last 7 years. Upon completing my K9 dog training class, I am able to relate and understand dogs more on their level. It's amazing getting to know your dog and I believe a pet is a family member who needs love just like children. My home is free to roam with tons of space to play or nap. We have daily walks, playtime and of course cuddle time. I have plenty of toys and comfy blankets for their enjoyment not to mention yummy treats. I truly enjoy caring for dogs and enjoy having their company. Their devotion to humans is remarkable and I love experiencing that. Having a pet as part of the family makes it even more enjoyable and just brings more laughter into the home.
Drop off and Pick up details:
- I ask that each dog bring their own food and water dishes, their favorite blanket/pet, favorite toy if any and anything else they use at home. I want to make it as comfortable as possible for them and have their familiar smells with them, just like they would have at their own home. It makes for an easy transition and an enjoyable stay for your family member.
- I ask for specific times for drop off and pick up. It makes it easier knowing your travel schedule so I can prepare for their stay and have your pup ready for you upon pick up. We all have schedules' so I do my best to stay on time. I truly understand that things pop up for drop off or pick up which may cause for a delay. I ask for a heads up and no more than a 30 minute delay. If pick up is more than a 30 minute delay, there may be a late fee added to your account. Again, I try to stay on schedule/time to make transitions' easier and not to disturb other dog guests. Every dog feels our anxiety so I do my best to keep visiting dogs relaxed and comfortable. They miss you just as much as you miss them so I do my best to make them feel comfortable and at home.
I look forward to caring for your pup! Graces Acres is truly all about dogs!
