About Tina

30 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
PEACE OF MIND WHILE YOU'RE AWAY!! MULTI DOG DISCOUNT! :)

My husband and I strive to provide the type of quality care for animals that we would expect ourselves! We are a professional, middle-aged couple. We are owned by three, young, beautiful, Newfoundland dogs, who are as sweet as can be and playful. They are truly gentle giants. We are a laid back couple and prefer to just hang out with our dogs either at our main home or at our place up north. We have so enjoyed the many wonderful people and their pets we've met through sitting. With our own pets through the years we've gained a lot of experience with older dogs with illnesses and separation anxiety, as well as with young pups.
We want you to know that we treat all of our guests as if they were our very own. Our guests receive constant love and attention, yet an ever-watchful eye. Our home is clean and safety is our number one priority. We are happy to send as many photos and videos as you wish. . We look forward to helping you feel comfortable, rest easy, and enjoy your time away knowing your babies are in good hands.

Our Newfies are so friendly with everyone and with all dogs! Our older two never jump and are so good about sensing other dog's needs and boundaries. They were raised by two, sweet, old basset hounds, 15 and 11 yrs, who taught them respect well. Our puppy is still learning her manners daily. She is very loving but lives to play and has boundless energy while not being aware of her large size. With this in mind, we are temporarily not able to accept the tiny and smaller dogs so that they don't accidentally get hurt. This will change as she gets older and matures.

Our main home is cozy and very dog friendly. It's nestled on a quiet dead end street, perfect for walking! We have an unfenced, one acre yard for lots of running and playing. For safety, we are physically outside with our dogs whenever they are outside. They are never alone unsupervised. We also have a huge, gated, wrap-around deck that our dogs enjoy very much. When the weather's not the best we get play time in our large, fully finished basement. We also have a designated bedroom for times when dogs may need a little space of their own to relax, or for separate feeding.

By day, I manage a dental office and work Monday through Thursday. If your dog is with us Thursday nights through Sunday, we are home the majority of the time, minus small errands, to be with your pup. Week long stays and longer are welcome as well, however, arrangements will have to be discussed due to my work schedule. I do come home at lunchtime every work day to tend to the dogs where they get outside potty breaks, playtime and treats :)

For the safety of my family and my own dogs, I cannot accept any dogs that display aggression of any kind. This must be honestly divulged.

Also, as my home is my home and not a kennel, I respectfully ask that no dogs be brought that have a history of marking, are destructive or not potty trained. (Puppies can be discussed)

I require proof that all dogs are up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines and are current on flea prevention.

Please note that overnight rates are for roughly a 24 hour period. If you need to extend pick up times, please discuss with me and we can adjust the rate if needed.

I so look forward to meeting you and caring for your furry buddies!! You can rest assured that your babies will be treated as my very own!

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have :)

Thank you for considering me!

Talk about caring, kind, and accommodating, we could not have found a better place to board our older, larger dog than with Tina & her husband. They work around our needs. From the time we arrived for our meet & greet, until the time we left, Tina was on the floor with our dog just loving on her. It made it so easy to leave her with them, & Tina sent pictures & updates throughout the weekend to reassure us she was in great company with their 2 beautiful, friendly dogs. In fact, our dog was pretty sad when she came home; she had such a great time there. Our goal is to take our dog on vacation with us, but if ever we can't we will definitely have Tina keep our dog again.

This was our first time on dogvacay and it couldn't have went any better. Tina and her newfies were so wonderful. They had lots of room to play inside as well as outside. We received tons of updates with pictures and videos throughout the weekend which put us at ease. They got healthy treats and plenty of play time. Our shepherd was actually a little sad when it came time to leave, she cannot wait to go back. Will definitely use again whenever the need arises! Highly recommended!

5 Star Pawsome!!!
From the initial meet and greet (highly recommend!), Tina enthusiastically welcomed my dog, Lucy, and made her feel right a home and introduced her 2 "gentle giants". On drop-off, Lucy was very excited to return for her stay. Tina send daily pics and vids with texts of a happy Lucy and even restocked her special dog food. My dog was loved and well cared for, and despite the long drive from Ann Arbor, I will definitely return. She is a very professional and loving dog sitter...and a kind person!!

Tina went above and beyond to make my dogs stay easy, stress free and fun. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing pet sitter. We had a meet and greet before Bo's stay and during the stay she sent my pictures and updates.
Tina went out of her way to prepare & ensure our Morkie, Jack and Maltszhu, Ava were comfortable & happy during their stay. From her questionnaire on their health, habits and care needs, to the pics and texts with updates on how they were doing, Tina is a wonderful and conscientious doggy caregiver. Jack & Ava loved their vacation!
