My husband, Justin and I are HUGE dog lovers and experienced dog owners with tons of experience caring for our own dogs throughout the years and dog-sitting for countless family and friends. We are currently parents to the friendliest and happiest 25 pound cockapoo (at least that's what we think he is!). His name is Rowan and we adopted him on May 31, 2014 when he was 6 months old. His foster home was full of dogs and he ABSOLUTELY LOVES other dogs - especially female dogs. He is very playful, but enjoys his couch/bed sleep time even more :)
Our home is great for pets because your dog will have a companionship and lots of play time and walks. We have a fenced in yard and are across the street from a beautiful park & playground. We live on a quiet street in a nice neighborhood.
A typical weekend day at our house would involve a walk first thing in the morning (usually in pajamas because our dog can't wait to go on his "walkies"). Then it's breakfast time, followed by some floor play time and relaxation. We spend a lot of time outdoors since we have a yard that is really an extension of our house, so the dogs would be outside hanging out with us while we did yard work and gardening. Then after lunch we may go on another walk. When dinner time comes, we will feed the dogs (if your dog gets breakfast also that is not a problem) and then settle in for the night with a movie, board game and some more bonding time. FYI: I am an expert at dog massages, so if your dog enjoys a good rub, he or she is in for a treat! Cuddle sessions, kisses on the lips, and sleeping in the bed are all allowed at our house. I'm also a semi-professional dog photographer, so you will be sure to get plenty of great photos of your dog(s) during their stay at our house. Taking pictures of dogs is not only a passion of mine, it's an obsession...They are just so cute!
Our goal is to make your dog feel at home, so if there is anything special that you do that you'd like us to do, just let us know! For example, our dog likes to sleep on piles on blankets. They all have their own quirks, habits and personalities!
A few restrictions: We only accept dogs that get along with other dogs - no aggressive behaviors toward humans either. Being house broken is a MUST. Any allergies, medications or treatments need to be discussed with us beforehand.
We look forward to a "home away from home" vacation with your furry child and our new furry friend!
