About Liz

42 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
I am an energetic and devoted animal lover with experience caring for dogs, cats, and farm animals. I will treat your dog like a prince or princess, just like my bearded collie, Zeb, with lots of hugs and attention. He happily shares his toys and plays with any dog who enjoys the company. I love and have rescued all kinds of animals and live on a ranch, with fiber producing angora goats, llamas, and miniature donkeys. Dogs love to see the farm animals off in the distance.

I seldom leave the ranch and am here to supervise your pet. My non-smoking home is equipped with a monitored alarm system, that includes smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide detection.

Each dog's stay is tailored their temperament, age, size, and energy level. We have a giant fenced yard where your FurBaby can romp during playtime or just visit for potty breaks, all while being supervised for safety. Dogs that enjoy other dogs can join in group play. In warm months, we play with the water hose and offer a dog bone shaped pet pool. Dogs that prefer to be couch potatoes are welcome to do so; your furbaby can hang out on the sofa and watch TV. Your dog will be offered a LATE night potty break-- no holding it for hours on end. Your precious furbabies will be in a heated and cooled home and supervised. Dogs sleep indoors.

For the past 42 years, I've always had a dog in my life, for which I was the caretaker (and sometimes several at a time, as I have rescued a few). I know your furbaby is a member of the family. I love my dog, Zeb, just like he is my little child and Zeb and I would love to meet and play with your dog!

Please bring your pup's food and a copy of his or her shot records. All dogs must be current on vaccines and have had a "kennel cough" vaccine in the past 6 months. Please make sure that your pet is current on flea treatment. I accept puppies over 4 months of age. This is for their safety, as their immunity isn't at its peak prior to this time. I prefer neutered and spayed dogs older than 6 months. Contact me to discuss any dogs that are not fixed, as they may require special accommodations.

You can bring a special toy if you like, just label it. When your furbaby dog stays with me, it really helps if you fill out the information on this form and bring it with you at drop off: http://blog-photos.dogvacay.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/vacay_hosting_form.pdf . Just paste the link in your browser to get to the Dog Vacay form about your pet's needs.

Thanks for reading about our ranch retreat. We hope to see y'all soon! :)

My four dogs had a great time at Liz's, she took very good care of them. Finally I found someone and somewhere I feel comfortable leaving my babies!!
My 3 dogs stayed with Liz over Christmas weekend. They had a blast!!! They were excited to see us but slept all the way home, all night and lazy today....LOL! Usually one pup wants to play fetch ALL the time. He was too tired. She kept me updated the whole time and sent pictures through out the day. I will definitely use her again.
We drove out to meet Liz in person and see the ranch before deciding to entrust her with our 7 month old pup while we went on a family cruise over Thanksgiving. Ennis was on our way from Dallas to galveston so it was very convenient. The ranch is a great opportunity for high energy dogs to get out and run run run and play play play!!!

In the past our last dog would get very anxious when we took out the suitcases knowing we were leaving town. I think our new pup is going to be excited to see luggage knowing he gets to go back to camp furbaby. Gideon has food allergies so he needed special arrangements at meal time to keep him from scoffing anyone else's food (he's a piglet) and I felt comfortable Liz would keep him safe. At dropoff, he wasn't anxious at all and was equally content when we picked him up. We thoroughly enjoyed getting daily photos and video to see how much fun he was having with her bearded collie zeb. When we picked him up it was evident he had a blast and enjoyed his vacation.

I'm so happy to have found his new auntie liz and we will make the drive out to ennis even when it's not on our way if we are leaving town! This really felt like a win for him rather than surviving the week of necessary boarding. So so so happy we found her!
This was our second time booking with Liz and I wouldn't trust my baby with anyone else!! She truly is a gem. Rylie got to play outside in the doggy pools and take naps on the couch! She bad 3 other dogs to play with (Zeb and two other guests) and I got many updates each day! Such a wonderful place to take her too. She comes home happy and healthy!!
Liz was amazing with our sweet dog!! Our dog had never been away from us and she does not do well with new situations. Liz made sure she let our dog get comfortable before she did anything. She spent time with her outside before she introduced her to her dog. We got lots of pictures during the stay which we loved!! She definitely pays attention to each individual dog and their needs and caters to them. We will definitely book again with Liz!
Liz did a great job caring for my dog Rachel. I loved the pictures that I received of her while I was away. I will be using Liz in the future
Liz took great care of our dog while we were out of town. She truly has a love for all animals & works very hard to meet each of their needs. My dog is my world & My husband & I have not been on a vacation for a long time because I don't trust anyone with my baby.
Upon meeting Liz, my dog took right to her. She kept me up to date daily with pictures & texts to let me know how my dog was doing. He was having a blast playing with his new friends!!
Her facilities are great as well. My dog was spoiled rotten, in fact, he slept on a cot (he doesn't even have one of these at home) in a very nice air conditioned kennel.
I will definitely be taking my dog for another doggie vacy with Liz. In fact, he will be visiting again next week!! He will be excited to get to play with his new friend, Zeb, Liz's very friendly bearded collie!
THANK YOU, LIZ, for being an awesome doggie sitter (mom) to my baby!!
Liz was very good with our fur babies. She sent lots of pictures during their stay.
Lots of love, room and best care!!
Extremely happy with Drago's stay. He connected with Liz immediately. Amazingly, Drago made himself at home as soon as we arrived. There was no separation anxiety to my surprise. He enjoyed running, playing with the other dogs and animals and staying overnight. It is an oasis, a sanctuary for my dog and I'm so happy I now have a place to take Drago when I am out of town or even for a day of play. Thank you Liz! Drago will be back!
Our dog Jasper had a great time. Lots of room to roam, space to relax and he enjoyed taking a dip in the doggie pool. Will definitely use again.
Liz was amazing and Charlie couldn't of been happier!! We will be using Liz again when we leave for San Antonio this summer. She kept in constant communication and send us pics multiple times daily. I would highly recommend her!!
Liz is a vibrant animal lover, she lives in the country and her animals are her main concern. She has an assortment of animals on lots and lots of acreage, but only one dog. Her dog is 1 year old and is a full blood bearded collie, he is a ball of energy and sweet. Zena was welcomed with open arms and an amazing fenced in area to play. Liz asked lots of questions to try and make sure she was well informed about Zena's needs.
We are both looking forward to her next stay of several days. Very happy that she is offering her care.
Liz was awesome! She took wonderful care of Maggie. She is friendly and sent pics and kept in touch with us daily via texts to let us know how Maggie was doing. We will definitely use her again.
