I have a deep love for animals. Because of this, I have worked in Veterinary hospitals for many years. Working around animals brings a lot of peace and joy to my life. I have owned several animals over the years, and still do. Several of them were dumped at the hospital I worked at. I adopted a Senior Golden Retriever from a rescue, from there I decided I wanted to foster, so I did. Some of them came malnourished, overweight, skin problems, afraid of storms and loud noises, but helping them get healthy, learn to trust, to love and be loved and to be a part of finding them their forever home, is such a rewarding, heartwarming experience.
I have been a pet sitter in the past in the pet's home, I prefer it that way because pets are already stressed because their owners have left them, and to put them in a strange home away from their familiar smells and surroundings, only makes it more stressful for them. I want them to be as stress free as possible.
Depending on the requests of the owners is how a day would look with the pet. If they want me to go on walks, we will walk, if they want us to go to the park, we will go to the park. If it is a senior pet who has a hard time getting around, we will take it easy at home. I may just lay with them and gently massage their old body. I want the pet to feel comfortable and as relaxed as possible.
It is never easy to leave your pets, but if you have to you can find comfort in knowing you can trust me to love and take care of them while you are away.
