About Torie

4 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
My husband James and I are big animal lovers. Over the course of our relationship, we have adopted two puppies in addition to the two cats James already had. We love being outdoors, especially going to the beach and for hikes.

We live in a 3 bedroom/2.5 bathroom 2 story house, with a great fenced yard for our two dogs (Pepper and Jack). Our home is a fun and safe place for dogs to rest and play. We have a great yard which the dogs can play in while under careful supervision. We found out when we moved in that Jack is a master digger, and so we spent a lot of time and effort "puppy-proofing" the border of the yard with cement under the whole fence, protecting the dogs from digging out. We also live by some great parks and hiking trails, and love going on walks.

We love all dogs, big and small, and can't wait to welcome them with open arms into our home. From Pitbulls to Chihuahuas there's no discrimination here we love them all the same. We have been active in rescue projects from shelters with high kill rates, fostering dogs with prospective new homes while travel arrangements were coordinated. Our two dogs are small, but they get along with all breeds.

If you are in the process or training or trying to promote good habits(no jumping, ignoring them when too hyper, sitting before eating) let us know and we will be happy to take note and try and accommodate to the best of our abilities. We are not trainers, but can absolutely take your direction on any specific do and dont's for your pup and keep up any good work you've started. (And James has a great authoritative voice!)

Please do not forget to bring your dog's food, bowls, favorite treats, blankie, toys, their comfy bed, crate(if you crate), leashes, and collars or harnesses anything that is necessary for your dog’s stay. Let us know if you have any special instructions about feeding or bedtime. Also, let us know if there are any restrictions on treats (our dogs love rawhide twists). If possible, consider sending at least one item with a familiar smell such as a blanket or sweatshirt to help put your dog at ease in his/her new environment.

NOTE: We have a special rate for extended stays and advanced bookings, and reserve the right to charge a slightly higher holiday rate and a puppy rate.

This is our second time with Torie and it was as smooth as the first. Definitely recommended!
My wife and I were extremely happy we found Torie to watch our dog. She kept us updated with messages and pictures during our trip which was awesome. We would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs to board their pets.
