About sandra

40 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
As a pet owner for 40+ years, I know how difficult it is to trust someone to take care of your "child" when you need a sitter.

Well, look no further, you have found a solution. I am a mature retired female offering the optimum level of TLC for your pet while you are away on vacation or just traveling. There are no children in the house to aggravate your pet and I have the time and experience to give the utmost attention to your pet's well being.

Certain restrictions apply as to size and breed. Your pet needs to weigh 25# or less and cannot be a pit bull, rottweiler or doberman pinscher due to insurance restrictions.

Pet services include a comfy pet bed and 2 walks per day (morning and evening). I have pet beds (size small and medium) available or bring your own.

Any special diet can be accommodated (you provide the food) along with basic medication if they are used to being given meds. I live in close proximity to several veterinarians and animal hospitals in case of emergency.

Of course, you would need to provide your pet's regular vet's name and address and please have your pet proof of up-to-date vaccinations.

I also offer pet sitting in your home but you need to be no more than 15 miles one way from Tarpon Springs.

Looking forward to providing quality pet care for your beloved dogs.

This was our fist time using the DogVacay instead of boarding our dog, Macy. I thought she might have more exercise and attention staying at a home. I booked last minute and Sandra was very nice on the phone. We dropped Macy off and Sandra's place smelled pretty bad of "animal" and she had puppy pads all over her living room. There was another dog there with wet spots on the coat and Sandra said she just sprayed her with vinegar water cause she thought the dog had dry skin. Warning signs!! I was very nervous but I was in a bind and could not take my dog with me. Sandra sent pictures and communicated that the dog was happy. We made plans to pick the dog up a day early and the last text I got before I got Macy was that she thought my dog had fleas. My dog is 2 years old and we have never had a problem with fleas. My dog even had a vet visit two days prior with no fleas. We picked her up and she was covered in fleas. She scratched for the 11 hour car ride home. She wouldn't eat or want to go outside to potty. I was able to get her groomed with a flea treatment and we got her shaved to help and we are still battling. I'm afraid it's in my carpet now. So we have a dog with fleas and also who has decided not to potty outside anymore. One last thing, when we picked our dog up Sandra handed me some wet dog food and said Macy liked it better. We left plenty of dog food and she shouldn't have fed another brand & type to my dog without asking permission.
