Pet care experience
I grew up with a Maltese and don't yet have the time to have a dog of my own. I work full time in the entertainment industry and do this for fun. I've volunteered with multiple animal shelters, including Atlanta Pet Rescue and Bideawee. If your dog is a lap dog I'm your girl-they'll be spoiled with belly rubs and lots of love. I also take long walks and love bringing a buddy along-some favorite routes include the piers on the West Side Highway and Gramercy Park. I'm also a short walk away from Central Park. I'm good with dogs who are a bit on the timid side and also have experience training puppies in basic skills like "sit", "place", "touch", and teething.

Lauren's ultimate passion is taking care of animals, and especially dogs. From an early age she has shown an interest in acquiring the knowledge necessary to take care of dogs. She has volunteered for numerous animal rescue organizations around the United States, and has been trained at these facilities to work with all different types of dogs no matter their behavioral presentations. Lauren is meticulous in her caring for these animals, always ensuring their health and wellbeing comes first. She is extremely dependable, kind, and thoughtful. She would make an excellent sitter for Rover and I think anyone would be lucky to have her looking after their dog!
Anyone would be lucky to have Lauren. She is an all around animal lover -- empathetic, responsible, loving and trustworthy. She is my go to for dog walking and sitting whenever I have an emergency. My dog Sadie absolutely loves her because she goes the extra mile. Training, special treats and cuddles are just some of her specialties.
Lauren is fantastic with animals, and has a lot of experience taking care of dogs.she is completely devoted to her own dog, a 12 year old Maltese. Lauren has been volunteering with dogs since she was 12years old. Since she is no longer around her own dog, she volunteers at the bid-e-wee in the city. Lauren has done some pet sitting since moving to New York, and has a wonderful connection to the dogs she takes care of. Lauren is very responsible, and will be a wonderful pet sitter as she adores being around animals.
Lauren is the biggest dog lover I know. From the time she was six years old, she asked for a puppy at any possible moment of her day. She supplemented this empty space in her heart by volunteering for Atlanta Pet Rescue up until the time we got our family dog, totaling about eight years. Since then, she has volunteered for Bidawee here in New York City, where she received a wealth of knowledge in caring for a range of dog breeds. She is more than qualified to puppy sit!

I unfortunately can't bring pets inside my building, but safety and comfort are paramount to me when caring for your dog. I like to establish trust early on with the dog and like knowing their boundaries. I also like knowing how frequently they need to go out, their preferred sleeping arrangement, meal times, etc. Every dog is different, so my approach to watching each dog depends on your pet's specific needs.

I always like to know about any medical issues/medication, how many walks they take, what their typical poop schedule is, their preferred sleeping arrangements, whether they can be on the bed and/or couch, whether they like or don't like to be touched on their belly/ears/feet.
A typical day
Where I take pets on walks depends on your specific neighborhood-for example, if you're downtown near Tribeca, I love taking a walk along the water. I ultimately defer to the owners to tell me their pets' preferences. Otherwise, they will be my little companion wherever I go-getting coffee, meeting up with friends for trivia, etc.

I have a full time job and set my own hours, so I'm available for walks during weekdays. If I am overnight sitting in your home, your dog will not be alone all day.
