About Diane

40 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
We are animal people. We live in "the big house" on an old farmstead in South Auburn with a tree-covered, completely fenced garden that surrounds the house. A deck encircles the house, with views of the local hills and a glimpse of Folsom Lake. It's about four minutes to downtown Auburn and/or Highway 80, right off Auburn/Folsom.

I'm am VERY protective of my animals. They must be safe at all times, inside with the air or heat on as needed, and spoiled with love and attention. They sleep in our beds and are our family. Your animal(s) will be treated the same way.

If you have any special-needs requests, just ask and we'll tailor our care. I'm good with seniors, having had a lot of experience with this population....and am very aware of how scary/difficult it is to have an aging pet when you want to travel, etc.

We've cared for other people's pets for years. Many have said they'd like to come back in the next life as one of our's pretty great. We have frequent visits of our grandpuppy who is delivered to us from the Bay Area, and there's plenty of space for all; nobody gets in anybody else's way. I've devised different "methods" to maintain the ultimate in care, keep it simple and yet maintain an attractive, clean and comfortable house for humans, too.

A prior "meet and greet" will have to be arranged to ensure everybody's compatible. We’ll introduce new dogs under careful supervision. There's always a few minutes of initial, super-excited barking when they first mingle - followed by an easygoing experience for your pets and the rest of the household.

I suggest you bring anything that'll help your babes remain "like at home" comfortable - crates, blankets, etc. (Toys and bones can be provoking in a pack....) Also, it's a good idea to bring their food so that no upset stomachs occur. We make sure everybody eats in a safe, comfortable space and manner.

My husband is a sales exec and I'm a therapist/pet photographer. One of us is home most every day. We would welcome the opportunity to share our family and life with you and your pets.

About my yard ---
Completely safe and checked often to make sure there's never even the tiniest space a dog could get through. I just couldn't live here if I didn't know the yard was completely safe for my dogs when I leave them alone.

We also close off the deck every night, so if anybody needs to go potty during the night, they can do it on the deck where we can be nearby.

Our 4 year old rambunctious lab, Hitch was well taken care of. We received updates, stories and photo's often so we knew he was doing well. Diane and her husband were attentive and professional, we would use them again most definitely.
Diane was a wonderful host to our dog Stella. She spent an evening prior to Stella's stay to get to know us and to make sure this would be a good fit for our dog and our piece of mind. While we were on vacation Diane sent us email updates and pictures which put a bright spot on our day every time. When we picked Stella up we left with the feeling that our dog received the individual attention, freedom, and comfort that she would not have enjoyed in a kennel. I would highly recommend Diane as a host. She is clearly a dog/animal lover and we were able to enjoy our vacation worry free that Stella was being well cared for.
What a great experience! Diana was accommodating for our last minute request and welcomed Luna into her home with astute dog-personality sensitivity and personal warmth and care. Their household is welcoming and we'd love to book with them again!
Diane, lives in the country, and the area,
is so lovely and serene, you almost wish you
brought your blanket and picnic basket.

She met us outside her kitchen door, and
she was so warm and inviting, we felt we
were visiting a friend. Her husband was
there, and we made our introductions, before her
own furballs, came in to greet us. We had met them, on the "Meet and Greet" , so we had already felt a bond with them.

Diane , is so warm and friendly, it is easy to become side tracked and talk about other things.
But she reeled me in, by asking me to instruct
her , as how to feed our pooch, since his diet is
homemade, and water needed to be mixed in. She
learns instructions quickly , and asks lots of great
questions, and we appreciated it .

While we were out, and about, she sent us e-mails, to let us know, how "Denzel" was doing. She wanted us to enjoy our day, and knew, if we had the assurance , that our "lil" rugrat, was comfortable and enjoying some one on one, we would be able to put our anxieties to rest and enjoy our time away.

We did enjoy our day, and when we came back to
pick up "Denzel", she had everything ready , so we
could get back on the road, for home.

Diane, is such a warm, and lovely person. Your pooch will have a wonderful time, and Diane will treat your baby as if he/she , was her own.

Diane, thank you, simply for just being you !!!

Your fan base,

Gary, Carol, and "Denzel"
