We are animal people. We live in "the big house" on an old farmstead in South Auburn with a tree-covered, completely fenced garden that surrounds the house. A deck encircles the house, with views of the local hills and a glimpse of Folsom Lake. It's about four minutes to downtown Auburn and/or Highway 80, right off Auburn/Folsom.
I'm am VERY protective of my animals. They must be safe at all times, inside with the air or heat on as needed, and spoiled with love and attention. They sleep in our beds and are our family. Your animal(s) will be treated the same way.
If you have any special-needs requests, just ask and we'll tailor our care. I'm good with seniors, having had a lot of experience with this population....and am very aware of how scary/difficult it is to have an aging pet when you want to travel, etc.
We've cared for other people's pets for years. Many have said they'd like to come back in the next life as one of our pets...it's pretty great. We have frequent visits of our grandpuppy who is delivered to us from the Bay Area, and there's plenty of space for all; nobody gets in anybody else's way. I've devised different "methods" to maintain the ultimate in care, keep it simple and yet maintain an attractive, clean and comfortable house for humans, too.
A prior "meet and greet" will have to be arranged to ensure everybody's compatible. We’ll introduce new dogs under careful supervision. There's always a few minutes of initial, super-excited barking when they first mingle - followed by an easygoing experience for your pets and the rest of the household.
I suggest you bring anything that'll help your babes remain "like at home" comfortable - crates, blankets, etc. (Toys and bones can be provoking in a pack....) Also, it's a good idea to bring their food so that no upset stomachs occur. We make sure everybody eats in a safe, comfortable space and manner.
My husband is a sales exec and I'm a therapist/pet photographer. One of us is home most every day. We would welcome the opportunity to share our family and life with you and your pets.
About my yard ---
Completely safe and checked often to make sure there's never even the tiniest space a dog could get through. I just couldn't live here if I didn't know the yard was completely safe for my dogs when I leave them alone.
We also close off the deck every night, so if anybody needs to go potty during the night, they can do it on the deck where we can be nearby.
