I am a graduate student at UCLA. I work mainly from home. I have been boarding and pet sitting for years! I have lived with dogs my entire life and was raised in a farm in Cuba. I worked for Pro-PAC foods at dog trade-shows. I have worked with many breeds and behavioral issues. I use aroma therapy and music therapy dogs suffering from anxiety. I have boarded dogs with Obsessive Compulsive disorders, Epilepsy and other serious diseases that require close observation and medical attention.
A typical day will depend on the breed and exercise demand. I am a very active person and I do very well with energetic dogs and puppies that require to be ran and exercise. I generally take them to the park in the morning and I supervise the dogs very closely. I will not take a pack of 10 dogs and just let them roam. I will take smaller groups and make sure they are safe and having fun. I do multiple hikes a week for those who need it. I take them to the beach often if the breed allows.
For non-active or senior dogs, I generally do the minimal amount of walking. Make sure no rough play takes place. I have a patio with several sunning spots that I've prepared for the dog to lounge and relax. Night time is time for movies and tons of cuddle time.
I work very hard on creating a balance in a dog's life through behavioral exercises and maintain a high level of trust. Your dog will get plenty of exercise and plenty of love! Your dog will never be off leash unless the area is an off=leash area by law.
Hope to meet you and your fluffy friend soon!
Boarding works in 24hr periods. If the stay extends past the 24hrs block, a daycare fee will be charged.
