Expert individualized pet care

Pet care experience

Our household is fully vaccinated and boosted. Safety first for humans and pets. As a former veterinary technician and dog owner with extensive training experience, I can accommodate pets with special needs, such as medication requirements, behavioral quirks, individualized care and attention. My flat fee includes all types of medications, raw feeding if desired, as well as basic positive reinforcement training and behavior modification. I offer extensive services with priceless dedication and care for your pet(s). In addition, I can take care of small to large dogs or multiple pets from the same household. Our home is very pet-friendly, with easy-to-clean surfaces, well-loved leather couches, low maintenance rugs, four steps in and out to the yard. We have two doors between the main area and outside in each direction, for enhanced safety. The yard is surrounded by 5'+ solid fence yard and is completely organic, without using any chemicals. I have indoor and outdoor toys, assorted treats, stainless steel bowls, crate pails, slow feeder and other conveniences. Guests are welcome to specify their own preferences and to bring their own creature comforts. We will talk about specifics of care and supervision at length to assure the best experience for each pet(s) and owner. Normally, drop off during the week is at 6 am or after 6:30 pm. My Shiloh Shepherd girls, now long gone but never forgotten, and I used to participate in search and rescue, agility, obedience, conformation shows, rally-O, and sheep herding. Our partnership introduced me to the world of positive reinforcement and motivational training, which is an integral part of my love and expertise in caring for your pet(s). I am especially partial to the pitbull breed! All of my services and limitations, if any, are negotiable. We have no children and a few visitors, allowing for a calm, relaxing environment. We are ideal hosts for adult pets that are comfortable with the typical routine of a working family or need to be the only guest. I can possibly accommodate puppies by prior agreement. Since I work, my mother will participate in basic midday care of pets and potty breaks during the day. There will be an adult at home for most of the time. I ask to meet-and-greet all my prospective clients to understand their specific needs and to make sure I am the best host for their preferences. I am typically very flexible in most areas, such as accommodating unusual pet needs, last-minute reservations and cancellations, two pets from the same household, and such. My services are not a business but a heartfelt expression of my love, experience and appreciation for our best friends. I offer a 10% discount for rescue dogs and donate a portion of proceeds to an animal rescue organization.

Michelle was amazing! She sent many photos and videos of our dog and assured us he was okay the whole time she had him. He seemed to have a great time as well.

Michelle did an amazing job taking care of our two cats, one of whom is special needs and requires regular medication. She went above and beyond working with us to make sure our cats were well taken care of.

Information Michelle P. would like to know about your pet

I love pitbulls and prefer medium to larger dogs and especially adults who are comfortable being on their own during the day. While there is an adult in the house almost all the time, I do not offer 24 hr constant care, with few limited exceptions.

A typical day

There is a great 2.3 mile loop through the neighborhood that we can walk as needed. Or we can hang out in the fenced-in yard, playing and gardening together.
