About Katy

20 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hello! My name is Katy. I love animals. I have 20 years of professional veterinary experience caring for dogs as a Veterinary Technician. I have also been walking dogs and pet sitting dogs for 20 years. Animal care is my passion. My husband and I both enjoy being around animals. I am now a full time pet sitter.
I have a 3 bedroom house that has a fenced in back yard and there is a big park across the street.
I have a pug and a chihuahua and they are treated like they are children.
Your dog will get plenty of walks and playtime and love when they stay at my house. I am very responsible and safety minded. I am very familiar with care of puppies and senior dogs. I am ble to administer all types of medications and medical treatments as well as doing light grooming( baths, nail trims, ear cleaning).

Katy took great care of our dogs and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs a dogsitter. She was very warm and welcoming to them and was also very well-organized. They had a great vacation!
Emergency night and Katy was there for us!
Biscuit loves it at Katy's!
Katy watched our new puppy while we went on vacation and we couldn't have been happier! She's really great with dogs and kept us updated on our pup while we were away which we really appreciated. We would definitely use Katy again!
Wonderful experience from start to finish. I am so relieved to have found Katy D. My little dog needs insulin shots every 12 hours, so going away is a real challenge. Katy did a fantastic job. Will book with her moving forward. She comes with my highest recommendation.
Thankyou very much for watching our Trevor. You and your husband are lovely people, and I 100% recommend that people put their trust in you!
Katy does a wonderful job. Ellie is always happy to go visit!
Katy is an absolutely wonderful dog sitter! I have two small, special-needs senior dogs, and had struggled to find someone experienced, who could take both dogs, and who did not own big dogs. Being a vet technician is a real advantage for Katy, since she was comfortable giving pills, and was even able to work out a solution for my dog's infected tooth. My dogs have behavior and anxiety problems, but were very comfortable with Katy. I highly recommend her!
Our one-year-old Biscuit has a wonderful time at the ongoing dog party at this house! Lots of playing with other dogs, he eats all his food and they spend lots of time outside. And how do you beat a dog sitter who's a vet tech? For friendly, sweet dogs, highly recommend.
I really appreciated Katy. She took great care of my dog. My dog loves her! I will definitely recommend her.
Katy is great with our dog. She is so warm and friendly and makes him feel so welcome. :-)
We got 2 yorkies when my last child left for college. We like to travel and only had a cat for many years so it never was an issue. At first we thought we would just travel with the pups not realizing we can't take them everywhere. I was heart broken because my pups are spoiled rotten. They hate peeing outside so I pee pad trained them. They hate dog food so I cook for them every night. They love apples and veggies for snacks. I try to make all their meals healthy. I thought finding a sitter would be hard. We met with Katy and left feeling completely comfortable that Cayman and Chesney would be fine in her care. She took care of their spoiled needs all day everyday. Her house is set up for a dog environment. She sent morning and evening updates daily along with pictures. My pups were on vacation having an awesome time with Jean-Luc playing and being spoiled rotten. I picked them up and they slept all day which yorkie pups RARELY do !! I will absolutely use Katy again. I honestly can't thank her enoug for caring for my babies the way she did!! She has a great love for them and all dogs. h
Katy was wonderful, our little dog Sasha was scared and Katy hugged her held her and never left her side. I think Sasha has found a new friend in Katy and we would not hesitate to have Katy watch her again. Thank you Katy for taking great care of our baby girl.

Our Lhasa-poo, Charlie, had a great time. Katy and her husband gave Charlie lots of walks and we got a lot of pictures while we were away. Katy seemed very attentive to Charlie while letting him play with the other dogs. Not sure Charlie wanted to come home!!
My 8 year old Beans had a great weekend at Katy's house. He gets anxious around big groups of dogs so staying at a house is much less stressful for him as opposed to being boarded. She has a dog friendly house and nice fenced in back yard. She is very easy to work with, super knowledgeable, and has tons of experience with dogs. Beans was in good hands and I definitely plan on using her again.
Katy watched Tank, our Blue Heeler (Australian cattle dog) over the holidays. We needed her to be flexible as we weren't sure from day to day when we would be dropping off or picking up our pup and she was fantastic about it. Tank is only a little over one and being a cattle dog can have A LOT of energy!!! Katy was wonderful taking him for long walks and sending lots of pictures to keep us updated. Tank is very attached to us in general but on the second day of his doggie vacay he was already bounding up the stairs with his tail waggling to see his buddy! We are totally going to use Katy the next time we go out of town!!
Katy was very welcoming and accommodating of my puppy. Her house was arranged with dogs in mind. She seemed knowledgeable. She was very thorough in keeping me informed of how my puppy was doing throughout her week long stay. I think my puppy had a great time!
Katy and her husband were great hosts to Bailey. I would definitely recommend Katy to someone.
I was very happy with Katy and my pups seemed comfortable at her place and with her dogs. I will definitely check her availability next time I need a sitter.
Katy was great! She took our dog on lots of walks and he loved playing with her dog.
It was our very first time boarding our dogs through DogVacay. Everything went pawsome! Katy and her husband are terrific! Very nice people who love animals and who are pleasant to deal with. Katy has a lot of experience working with animals because of her professional background. Our dog befriended her small Chihuahua Jean-Luc, and did not seam to care that he was placed in a different environment. It was for sure a vacation for him. We really appreciated daily updates on how the dogs were doing. Katy sent videos, photos and messages. We will be coming back. Thank you!
Katy is a sweet, warm person who really loves dogs. She s trained to care for animals and was wonderful with my older dog, Bailey. I would highly recommend her. I also met her husband and he is really nice. Bailey came home well cared for.
