Pet care experience
I love all walks of life, but my heart lays with dogs. I have over 15 years experience caring for animals and I had a pet care business in Boulder, Colorado for 3 years. I have brought my love and experience to Denver and hope to create a "second home" for your animals when you are away as well as make new furry best friends while developing strong relationships with their guardians. In my home, your pups will sleep in comfy beds (which I do "fluff" every night :), enjoy scenic walks and trips to the dog park (we love cherry creek state park) and be loved on and praised with organic dog treats! In my home, your dog(s) will be part of my family and cared for with responsible supervision and lots of love. *Prices may vary and are negotiable dependent upon length of stay and frequency. ** I do offer sitting in your home. I provide loving care for animals and am devoted to sharing my passion and affection for every dog and cat I have the opportunity to spend time with. In my home your pup(s) will be cared for as part of my family and showered with kisses, praises and lots of love! Meet my pets Judah is an eight year old spaniel / border collie mix. He is spunky, smart and full of love, and he is the love of my life! He adores having friends come to stay with us and loves to show off his ball chasing skills at his neighborhood parks. We also have a one year old small black cat. She is super sweet and loves having dog friends over as well. She is accustomed to having dogs around and treats them like family! We currently live in a spacious apartment in the heart of Denver, but we spend most of our days outside at local parks, going on long walks and frequenting some of our favorite hiking trails outside of the city. About my yard I am fortunate to live in a small communal building in the Mayfair/Park Hill area. We have a very large fenced in back yard where we like to spend time bathing in the sun and looking for squirrels! My experience administering medication I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages and am comfortable with administering medication for dogs in need.

Shelbi did a fantastic job with my dog. She has a great setup that is very dog friendly and any dog would be happy to spend some time there. She makes sure to send you photos and updates and definitely provides great care and support. Don't hesitate to contact her. I would definitely place my dog with her again.
Shelbi is wonderful! She took our dog on walks, to the dog park, and texted us photos and updates. She even tolerated our dog on her couch! We will definitely be repeat customers. Highly recommend!

Shelbi has kept our dogs for the past 5 years and she is the only person that I would trust to keep both of our girls when we are out of town. She has years of experience with all different types of dogs and is amazing with our high energy lab mixes. I am able to enjoy my vacations knowing that my dogs are in great hands when we are gone.

Does your dog get along well with other dogs? -I have a furry best friend of my own at home and while he is a spunky spaniel with an eagerness to cozy up with his canine and feline friends, we prefer dog visitors to be well accustomed to spending time with other dogs. Is your dog comfortable with being home alone for a few hours at a time? -While I would love to spend ALL of my time with dogs, there are those times when I have to run daily errands and if I can't take the pups along for the ride, we prefer them to be comfortable with being at home by themselves for short periods of time. Is your dog up to date on all vaccinations? -I am not an advocate of unnecessary vaccines for canines, but having the basics is of the utmost importance to keep my dog safe, happy and healthy. Does your dog love love??? -Then they will fit right in with me!
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks I love to frequent some of the local dog parks and hiking trails. My favorites are: for a play day at the park, I like Stapleton Dog Park, Westminster Dog Park and Cherry Creek State Park. I also love to visit hiking trails in Boulder for a longer off-leash outdoor adventure! Your dog's sleeping arrangement Anywhere! In my home your dog is welcome to sleep in one of the handful of dog beds I have. I "fluff" these dog beds every night, ensuring your pup a comfy and cozy place to nap. I know some dogs are used to sleeping in bed with their human companions and while I don't encourage it, I do love it when they decide to snuggle up with me under the covers! Time I'll spend with your dog While I would love to spend ALL day with your dog (and mine), life happens. There will be times when I have to get those pesky errands done and if I can't take the dogs along with me, they will have to stay at home. I spend most of my time at home and visiting local dog parks/trails. I spend as much time with dogs as is humanly possible!
