About Aleks

16 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Offering overnight sitting in your home for Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan locations.

I can also host small dogs in my own home.

Additional services available. Please contact me for details.

My experience with dogs goes back to when I was a toddler. Growing up on a farm in a rural village, I made quick friends with all the animals. The dogs followed me everywhere I went! During my teenage years, I often dog sat for family and friends in the city. As an adult, I frequently help neighbors with walking and checking in on their dogs. I have taken care of all sorts of animals including fish, parrots, hamsters, guinea pigs, cats and more. I really enjoy spending time with dogs and other animals, especially once we have bonded and developed a special connection.

Your dog will enjoy frequent bathroom breaks and nice long walks.
***If there are particular areas in your neighborhood that you would like me to avoid when walking your dog, please be sure to let me know.***

I have a very thorough screening process to ensure everyone's comfort and safety .

- Honesty and transparency is required
- any dog over 7 months old must be spayed or neutered
- must have a proper fitting harness or collar with up-to-date tags
- must be vaccinated for the following: Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus and Hepatitis
- must be properly groomed (bath & nails)
- complete emergency contact information is required

I can accommodate a wide array of dogs, including puppies and special needs dogs, including amputees. I am comfortable with administering all types of medication including injections.

Before caring for your dog, I would like to know the following:
- has your dog ever stayed with someone else before?
- does your dog know his or her name?
- does your dog listen to you?
- what commands does your dog know how to follow?
- does your dog bark a lot?
- does your dog experience severe separation anxiety?
- does your dog get along with other dogs?
- does your dog know how to walk on a leash?
- any allergies?
- any medical needs?
- any dietary restrictions?
- any aggression? (with food, other dogs, new people)
- what kinds of dogs and other animals does your dog NOT get along with?

Any other specific information as to your dogs preferences would be very helpful.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

***NOTE: Holiday Rates, Additional Service Fees for Short Notice Bookings, Increased Rates for Difficult Dogs, Puppy rates and other Price Changes may apply. Training is not included with a regular booking - separate fees apply. Prices listed are for general reference only. Please contact me for a quote.***

It was the first time away from home for Tillie and I was a little nervous when I left her with Aleks but it turned out to be a great experience for my dog. Aleks is very experienced with pets and you can tell she truly love them. At the end of the day my dog seems very relaxed and happy to have found Aleks as a new friend.
I highly reccomend her.
Thanks Aleks
Alek was punctual for our meet and greet. She has a good handle on how to treat dogs. I wouAlek communicates well with dogs. She left my house cleaner than the way I left it. I would use her again.
She's truly wonderful! Love knowing that our pet is in good hands.
Aleks was really wonderful!! Our dog loves her and we felt he was in good hands.
We have left our dachshund Nikki with Aleks for a week, being extremely nervous about her wellbeing: Nikki is recovering after back legs paralysis. She has difficulty walking, has a little wheelcart to take 10-minute trips, and is a quite agitated dog. She often gets frightened of an outside noise, other dogs or other disturbances. We chose Aleks because she was one of a very few dogsitters offering services for dogs recovering after surgery, and asking pointed questions on her introduction page about the dog condition, habits, pills, vaccinations, etc. We texted Aleks almost daily from overseas asking about Nikki, and picked her up in 2 hours after our plane landed, anxious to see the dog. We are very picky about everything including a dog hygiene. We didn't specifically ask Aleks about little things, such as clean paws, ears, cleaning under the tail and gritty eyes. We picked up clean, relaxed, happy Nikki who obviously didn't want to leave! Thank you Aleks!
Aleks was a wonderful sitter for our pitbull Bella. She have her lots of exercise and love and even administered her oral medication. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Aleks was wonderful and we felt our dog was well taken care of. Happy to have her again and recommend her to others.
Aleks was extremely detail-oriented, responsible, and a pleasure to work with. Our dog has lots of special needs (separation anxiety and severe epilepsy), and Aleks paid close attention to everything our pup needed, sent us lots of updates, and made us feel at ease while we were away for a 5-night trip. Highly recommend.
Aleks was great. She took care of our 5 month old Bichon like he was her own. He had daily trips to the dog park and she sent us photos everyday. Thank you Aleks for taking such wonderful care of Prince. We look forward to more visits.
I have used Alek in the past she is a wonderful dog sitter and trainer. She shows much love to our dog but also great support and training to help encourage our puppy's good behavior. He is becoming such a good boy. Thank your, Alek!!!!
Aleksandra is an Excellent Sitter. She is Very Professional and treated Sorridere Beautifully. She is Very Kind, Considerate and makes Sorridere feel like part of her Family. I would Highly Recommend Aleksandra as a Sitter.
