I have grown up with pets my whole life. As a child I lived on an acreage with 1 dog (huskie/newfoundland), 3 cats, a pig and a horse. Once we moved into the city we downsized to have 1 dog and 1 cat. The first dog my family had lived to be 15. Our second dog (great pyrenees/Labrador retriever) past away last year at the age of 10. My parents now have a puppy (great pyrenees/collie) I currently live in a new area (Evergreen) with my boyfriend and cat. Our backyard is completely fenced with only soil and a deck at the moment, which is a perfect space for a dog. I believe dogs should be walked at least twice daily and a longer walk depending on weather (dog park).
