About Erin

1 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Hi there! My name is Erin and I live off of West Main with my roommate and my dog, Ben. I graduated from WMU in 2015 and I have been a dog lover my whole life. I’ve grown up with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, each with their own loving quirks (and health issues). My house has a great backyard that is fully fenced in and has plenty of room for dogs to run and play. All living spaces are on one level and there are only 4 steps from the back porch to the yard so it is easier for senior dogs or dogs recovering from surgery. I’m also in a great neighborhood that is perfect for walks. Our walking route includes a number of parks where Ben and I like to stop for water and a little extra play time before continuing on with our walk. My dog is high energy for a large part of the day but when he crashes he’s the best cuddle buddy ever, which is my favorite part of the day. Dogs are allowed on furniture (both couches and beds) and they can roam free during the day while I’m at work or I can make other accommodations per the owner’s request. Ben is usually in his cage while I’m away and at night but he is a good boy on his own so sometimes I leave him out, depending on the situation. Both my dog, roommate, and I love having doggie friends come by to play or to stay for a little vacation. I will be the primary care taker of all dogs that stay with us, but my roommate is more than willing to help me keep the dogs happy, healthy, and safe while they await their owners’ return :)

I have watched Erin with her dog, a rescue dog that was 8 months old at the time she purchased him. There were some behavioral challenges that Erin handled very well. Her calm demeanor has really helped to raise her dog that is now two years old. She has worked with him and he is being well trained. Her style is firm, and she also heaps praise on her dog when he does well.

She has also watched our two dogs many times, and they are always happy to see her. She plays with them as long as they will play, and exercises them regularly when she watches them.

Without hesitation, I highly recommend Erin as a dog sitter. Families will be very happy with how well she will treat their dog(s).

Erin has watched our two dogs every time that we go out of town. Our dogs are very spoiled and she caters to them as if they were her own. She is very attentive to them and gets down on the floor and plays ball with them. They love all the attention that she gives them. We feel so comfortable leaving our dogs with her. We would highly recommend her.

Erin is a wonderful pet owner and dog sitter! She has had dogs all her life, and now has one of her own. She adopted him from an animal shelter in Illinois and he was a bit naughty at first. His stubborn and smart terrier tendencies coupled with his medicore training was not the ideal mix. He began his journey with her as a very energetic and a bit aggressive pup. Her first interaction with him he actually had one of his 'episodes' where he gets aggressive when he can't get his way. Nowadays you never would've known he even had the capability to do that; he rarely every lashes out and he knows many tricks-he even knows how to dance! He almost always comes when he is called and listens to what he is told 9 out of 10 times. He is also one of the most spoiled dogs I have ever met and hates being away from her-he even has a doggy life jacket to go on kayak trips with her. I would reccommend Erin as a dogsitter to anyone!
