I am a homeowner! My home is a large, restored New Englander, close to downtown Portsmouth, NH. My yard is completely fenced in, gated, locked, clean, and dog friendly. I do not "hoard" sit...in my opinion that defeats the entire attraction of having your dog boarded in a private home. This is much as a nice place for humans to have a cup of tea as it for pups to have a great place to hang out and have some fun! Lots of four legged guests have found their BFFs here!
My experience working with dogs and other animals spans 30 years. As the founder of a nationally recognized nonprofit nokill animal shelter, I have worked with every shape, size, and temperament. I have been hired by veterinarians to provide triage care to pets whose owners are unable to afford emergency animal hospitals, testified at animal cruelty cases, and worked with police in the rescue of both wild and domestic animals. I have never met an animal I do not love nor could not handle.
Second dog in the same family is always only an additional $30
Please note my daily rate is $50 (still only $25 for the second dog) on the following holidays: Thanskgiving Eve, Thanskgiving Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, July 3rd, July 4th, Labor Day, Memorial Day weekend (Sat., Sun., and Monday),
I'm very flexible with pickup and dropoff times...morning, noon, night, whatever fits yours schedule.
The length of daycare is 12 hours. This 12 hours can run anytime (4 a.m. to 2:30; 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., etc. I am popular among nurses and people who work the graveyard shift!)
Your schedule is my schedule. I do not take in dogs and then go off to a fulltime a job. Please be very careful when you choose a dog sitter as this is very common.
WHERE WE WALK!
We walk around the neighborhood, to Goodwin Park and sometimes along the North Mill Pond. But our favorite romping grounds is Peirce Island and Strawbery Banke after hours
