About Emily

8 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Before going into a Tech position, I had the pleasure of working for a dog walking company called TopDogSF, located in San Francisco's Sunset district for about a year. Here we focused on positive reinforcement training with both on and off leash walks. Though it was time for me to explore other options, working with them was an absolute blast, and I find myself missing it regularly!
I'm comfortable with all breeds and sizes, and have dealt with dogs whom have leash aggression, anxiety, pulling on leash, jumping, and nervousness. This is primarily what I did with TopDog doing solo walks and training visits. Aside from working with them in a professional field, I've spent most of my childhood around various kinds of animals, so I have a lot of experience!

I tend to work primarily from home, however I do have to go into the office a couple times a week. Since I'm able to work remotely from home, this means I'm able to frequently allow them supervised time outside, plenty of potty breaks, and of course spoil them with lots of attention!

I'm excited to meet new clients and their dogs (or other pets), and am always happy to answer any questions/concerns. Not being around dogs regularly anymore has been a real drag, so I'm truly excited to get my puppy fix and still work with animals via DogVacay!

Absolutely terrifying experience. Pet parents beware!!! Emily's profile says she will only leave your dog alone for 2-4 hours per day. This was not our experience. We were fortunate to have a friend staying at our apartment while we were away. He let us know that Emily only showed up to feed our dog, and spent most of the day away. She came home past midnight most nights (staying out as late as 2am). The last night, Emily didn't even show up to stay with our puppy! She lied to us and said she had to leave super early at 6am, but our house guest let us know that she actually never came at all that night. He had to give our pup dinner and take him out, and he slept alone in the hallway because Emily never came to let him into the bedroom. We also had the Whistle app to track his activity, and had this to confirm our friend's account. Our dog's activity level dropped by 70% when Emily "watched him," despite our specific guidelines on how much exercise he gets per day. When we arrived this morning after our trip, we found CHOCOLATE WRAPPERS all over the kitchen floor, with a bunch of other garbage scattered around. He got so anxious that he shredded the trash and ate through the garbage can.

So unless your pet is a rock, RUN RUN RUN! There are a lot of petsitters on this website, and I can't imagine anyone is as dishonest and unsafe as her.

Emily will lie to you to tell you what you want to hear, and your puppy will never be able to speak up for itself to tell you the truth.
Emily was a great sitter for my miniature dachshund, Pistol! She was very patient with answering and assisting with all of my crazy questions and requests! Leaving Pistol behind always worries me since she's such a anxious dachshund, but I felt assured with Emily as a sitter. Emily was easy to reach through texts and sent us updates with pictures as well. I'm glad we found her, she's a great sitter and I really hope she is up to watching Pistol again in the future! You'll feel safe leaving your home and best dog friend in her hands! Thanks again Emily!
Emily was great!! She was so on top of picking up keys before we left & taking the dogs on great walks! She kept me updated & checked the mail as well. Def felt comfortable lving my babies with her!
