I am a grad student at McGill University.
My experience dog sitting so far has been with all kinds of dogs for periods up to 20 days.
My home is great for dogs because I am located on Mont Royal with direct access to the Forest Trails. Beaver lake and Redpath Dog Park are a 7 and 10 minute walk away from my doorstep, respectively. My appartment is small but cozy and your dog is more than welcome to come hang out on the couches and beds. The building has elevator access and is therefore appropriate for senior dogs or dogs with painful musculoskeletal conditions.
A typical day includes a 30-60 minute walk in the morning, lots of cuddles and play, free roaming in the appartement, on weekdays I am at school for 2-4 hours, another 30-60 minute walk in the afternoon/evening, more cuddles and a cozy night sleep either on the couch or in bed. This schedule can easily be adapted to what your pup is used to, just let me know!
I do not own any dogs myself but there are other dogs in the building therefore a dog with aggressive behaviour is not appropriate at my appartment.
