All pets are happier that way. I do make exceptions and have a wonderful home for them to stay in. I'm located in Downtown Brooklyn near Fort Greene Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park in a very spacious loft apartment. I'm very good at treating your dog like a heavenly star they are, like Sirius in Canis Major. I'm a professional dog walker and work in the LES, Chinatown and the East Village. Perhaps you've seen me walking with one of my favorite furry friends? Since my childhood, I have had a huge range of dogs to care for with a variety of behaviors and special needs. I've been walking dogs all over the city for the past 7 years. Some training isn't intuitive, and I'd say I've become adept with dogs and handling their special quirks. I have other trainers that I consult with for special cases. I walk on a weekly basis and am willing to take on more pet sits since many of my own clientele do not need that additional service (pet sits for felines or other creatures included)! From my experiences I know first hand how intimately connected to you your pet can be and I treat all your animals as within that family framework. *I am bonded & insured through Pet Sitters International as an associate. • Making Introductions & Friends• My policy has always been to have an interview prior to caring for your pet. As we know, Dog Vacay suggests this too. Trust is important to me. As is standard, I offer a free in-home consultation so that I can meet you, and your pets and learn of any health issues, diet, toys, behavioral quirks, and walking/care preferences. I'm flexible in how you prefer to be notified about the your pet's care. For example, I can send a daily photo (my favorite), email or text to update you on your pets' well-being. • Health, Wellness, Supervision and Observation• Animals communicate frequently through body language and I make it a point to familiarize myself with what they are expressing to the world. As always, I pay attention to the risks involved when walking and interacting with other humans, animals, sounds and objects. Since every animal and their routine are unique, I respect the feeding and training preferences that have been set in place. I value keeping the same patterns that you provide so as to continue a seamless and compassionate experience. • Daily Routines • In general, when I am providing care while you are away, I absolutely offer the minimum morning, afternoon and evening walks. The timeframe ranges from 1/2 hour/ 1 hour / to lengthier walks depending on the breed, need, weather and day. More walks are definitely negotiable. Besides, special cat and property care I am fully capable of navigating special health needs and administration for animals that are later in years. • Holidays • An extra surcharge will be added during major holiday weekends. Please inquire for custom quote. I try to accommodate folks and pups the best I can and try to take into account all the special needs one person or one canine will have. 2018 holiday rates apply to the following dates: Jan 15-19, Feb 12-16, May 27-31, July 1-5, Sept 2-6, Oct 7-11, Nov 23-28, Dec 22-Jan 2. • Questions• I love questions and would be happy to hear from you.
