Dug's Dog Sitting

Pet care experience

The perfect place for your dog’s vacation! We've been dog owners since 2000 when we picked up our first lab mix puppy from the pound and instantly fell in love. We love dogs of all sizes, breeds and personalities. We discovered Rover in the summer of 2004. Our dog, Maximus, was a little lonely after losing his friend, 13 ½-year-old, BooBoo. Dog sitting was a great way for Maximus to make new friends. Earlier this year (2018), we lost Maximus to cancer. Our home, as you can imagine, is a little too quiet. We would love to have your dog vacation with us at our home as part of our family, while you enjoy your vacation. Our home is on a 1/2 acre with plenty of trees providing shade for those hot summer days the Victor Valley is known for. Our property is fully fenced and crossed fenced for the dogs safety. We are conveniently located minutes from the 15 Fwy. Daily activities will include morning playtime, sunbathing, playing in or out as we please, trips to the local park to enjoy watching the birds and chase the occasional squirrel. During the summer month’s we have a small pool for the dogs to cool off in and let us not forget the ever-important afternoon nap. I work from home and my teenage son attends a hybrid high school, so one of us is home almost all day to play and care for your dog(s) inside or out. We ask that you bring their food/water bowls and their own food/treats for their stay. If they have a favorite blanket/bedding and toys – please bring these, they will help your dog feel more at home while he vacations with us. We can administer oral medication if needed. Please provide vet information, in case of an emergency we can transport your pet to the vet. We are in a semi-rural part of the city, so we do on occasion encounter wildlife. Please note: while your pet staying with us, we may accept doggie daycare visits, but we only board/dog sit (overnight) one dog family at a time. Dogs must be neutered/spayed and be current on all vaccinations (puppies are exempt). Due to scheduling, we cannot accommodate dropping off/picking up of your dog on Thursday's and Sundays. If you’re looking to board your dog for that weekend/summer/holiday get-away, contact us for a meet and greet. We would love to host your dog.

I’m so glad Dinorah was able to sit my brooklyn very last minute. Always able to help me out when I need someone to watch my dog. Brooklyn gets so happy when he gets to hang out with Dinorah and her family!

Brooklyn enjoyed his stay very much. He was so excited to hang with Dinorah and her family. He had his ecollar on and had to put on ointment for his leg. Dinorah and her family took great care of my dog. Will definitely come back when I need a sitter!

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Around our neighborhood. Your dog's sleeping arrangement. Depending on the weather we allow dog to sleep indoors. If you dog is potty-trained then he/she will be allowed to sleep indoors. If they are outdoor dogs, we have a heated dog house in the garage that they can use at their leisure. Time I'll spend with your dog Working from home allows me the opportunity to interact with your dog at random intervals. I usually play with my own dog in the morning, right after his morning meal, as I work in the yard/garden and again in the late afternoon/early evening when we go out to play. Throughout the day I interact with my dog as go about my work. During the hottest part of the day I prefer to limit activity so that he doesn't get overheated.
