Hello. My name is Arthur. Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about me. To begin with, I have lived in Hampton Roads my entire life. I decided to become a Dog Sitter mostly because I have missed having one in my life. They bring so much joy and happiness to our lives. I truly believe that I possess the experience, compassion, enthusiasm and most importantly the love for all dogs and animals to temporarily care for one of your beloved family member(s). For the past few years, I have worked in healthcare, as an Emergency Room Registrar, in Security at DePaul Hospital and as an Admissions and Marketing Director for an Assisted Living facility. My ultimate goal is to earn my Administrator's license so that I can care for all of the Seniors that have enabled my life and the lives of my generation to be so wonderful. I recently signed up to volunteer for The Virginia Beach Animal Adoption Center on Birdneck Rd. It is a really great place. They offer multiple types of training, including how to walk dogs and handle various issues related to dogs. Or, you can just go there to play and keep them company. In addition, I serve on The Board of Directors for a non-profit organization called Wildlife Response, Inc. The City of Virginia Beach recently granted us the use of over fifty acres for the purpose of constructing a clinic, education center and housing for the many injured and sick wildlife in The Hampton Roads area. I serve as The Director of Rescue and Transport, work the hotline, and sit on The Capital Campaigns Committee. I am college educated, friendly, respectful, fun and love getting dog hair all over me and being licked non stop. I possess no criminal or drug related background. Whereas I have not completed many hours at the Adoption Center as of this time, you are welcome to contact anyone at Wildlife Response for a reference. I believe all would be glad to give a positive reference as it relates to my character, ethics and commitment to caring for animals(even though in this case it is wildlife) But maybe the best experience I have is that I grew up with dogs; the way every boy has ever dreamed. I had a pure bread German Shepard from eight years old until eighteen years old, five brothers and sisters, an acre of land and grew up during a time when it was okay for a dog to run around the neighborhood.
