About Kelley

28 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
Existing clients: if the dates you need aren't available, please ask - we can often make accommodations.

My favorite quote is "Whoever said diamonds are a girl's best friend, never owned a dog!" I have raised and cared for all kinds of pups - each one was special in their own right, and every single one was my best friend. I'm a born and raised country girl now living in Rockville, MD with my boyfriend Carlo and a dog named Manny. Our goal is to provide your dog with the BEST care while giving them lots of love so they will want to come back again and again.

Five things make Dogs Rock! extra special: 1) we offer a calm, stress-free environment; 2) we specialize in seniors; 3) we love your pup like a member of our own family; 4) we provide awesome PUPDATES; and 5) we offer a rewards program for repeat customers.

We offer this service because we love dogs - it is not our main source of income. Our home is like your home - not like a kennel or boarding facility. By accepting no more than two dogs at one time, we are able to maintain a relaxing environment for your dog while you are away - one that is most similar to their own home. Limiting the number of guests also means that your pup will have our undivided attention.

We think all dogs rock but we especially love senior dogs and have one of our own. We understand the special needs of senior dogs - whether it is providing extra comfortable napping spots to alleviate aches and pains, support going up and down stairs, administering shots, dealing with canine dementia, middle-of-the night potty breaks, or round-the-clock meds - we go the extra mile to make seniors feel comfortable, loved, and at home. 90% of our clients are dogs over 5 years of age.

When your dog stays with us, he/she is a part of the family; we do not confine your dog to one part of the house. There are two couches - one in the office, next to the kitchen and one in the living room. Dogs can lounge while we cook, work, or watch TV. They are also free to sleep in our bed, on one of the couches, or on any one of the orthopedic dog beds in the house. Your pup can enjoy up to 4 daily walks and be given potty breaks as often as needed. For dogs who love to lounge outside or explore the outdoors, there are two fenced-in yards. There is a deck for sunbathing and people watching and a spacious grassy yard with lots of room to run and play. Our canine guests are never left outside unattended.

We strive to make each and every Dog Vacay stress free and fun for not only your pooch, but for you as well! Throughout each day, we will text you fun and unique photos, videos and updates so you can relax and enjoy peace of mind.

As a "THANK YOU" to our awesome repeat customers, we offer the following discount: $50 off every 20 days of boarding. For example, if you board 5 days in July, 10 days in September, and 10 days in October, at your next booking, you will receive a $50 discount and have 15 days to apply towards your next discount.

Are you new to Dogs Rock? Please schedule a meet and greet - we would love to meet you and your pup! .

Kelley is so wonderful with our dog Floyd. She sends photos and videos that keep us smiling. And what a great host Manny is- such a playful friend! Can't say more great things about our experiences with Kelley!
Our pup loves being at Kelley's house! Our dog always comes home relaxed and happy and Kelley is really good about sending text/email updates. We appreciate how flexible she has been with us while scheduling daycare and boarding for our dog. Thanks, Kelley!
Kelley made our dog Abbey feel right at home. We could tell our dog was happy and well cared for by the pictures Kelley sent us while we were gone.
Our pup loves Kelley's house! We don't have any concerns about leaving our little one with her. She is great with small dogs, as is her resident doggy. Thanks, Kelley! See you in a few weeks!
Our dog had a wonderful stay and had so much fun playing with Manny. Kelley was so attentive to her needs as a young dog, and sent us so many photos and fun videos. Wholeheartedly recommend Kelley!
I am like a bad penny, I keep showing up at Kelley's doorstep! I can't say enough good things about Kelley, Carlos and Manny! Kelley has shown much patience, understanding and even.. love (!?!) With Ulani being sight impaired - and having dementia - it has not stopped her from being mischievous and she can be trying at times... but Kelley takes it all in stride. Ulani has a not-so-secret crush on Manny - I can see it in the awesome pictures that Kelley texts on a regular basis.
Kelley watched my dog Chloe while I was away overnight. She sent picture and video updates throughout the Vacay. Chloe had an opportunity to socialize with Kelley's dog and be in an environment that is calm and comfortable. I will use Kelley again and highly recommend her.
Kelley was amazing! She took such great care of Pokey. He got along so well with Manny and I brought home a tired and happy pup. She also sent a ton of video and picture texts which made me feel even more comfortable leaving him. Overall it was a great experience and I would leave Pokey with her anytime.
I really can't say enough good things about Kelley. I've tried various different pet care options overtime (in-home petsitting, boarding, etc.) and Kelley is hands down the best. She treats my two dachshunds like part of her family and shares plenty of video and photo updates throughout the days so I always know my babies are safe and enjoying their time away. They come home relaxed and happy and can't wait to go back and visit again.

THANKS AGAIN, KELLEY! Ab and Leo miss you already. :)
Being a fellow dog vacay host, we are super picky who we leave our dog with! Kelley is amazing and exceeded our expectations in every way. She ensured our dog Bella was spoiled just like at our house and given tons of attention. Bella had lots of play time w/ her dog Manny, daily walks, and chill time in a stress-free environment. We received tons of updates (pics and videos) which reassured us our dog was doing great! We will definitely use her again for our next vacation! Thanks again Kelley!!! She definitely rocks in Rockville :)
Kelley took excellent care of my two dachshunds and was able to accommodate us even on very short notice! She has a great backyard for them to explore and her dog Manny is a big sweetheart and very gentle with the little ones. She also sent me plenty of photos and videos throughout the day so I knew Abbie and Leo were safe and having a great time. We'll definitely be back again :)
I have never felt more comfortable leaving my pup with anyone! (I hope my sister doesn't see this!)
I am finally able to enjoy my time away without the stress and worry of Ulani getting the best care possible - next to being at home.. of course! (Actually... maybe even better than at home.. :/)
She is interacting with other dogs, she LOVES Manny and I am sure she goes into a slight depression when she's home because she misses the companionship.
I know that taking care of a sight impaired pet that has the onset of doggy dementia is challenging and I can't thank Kelley enough for taking on the challenge and treating Ulani as if she was her own.
Kelley is amazing. We highly recommend her. Our puppy scrambles is scheduled to stay again. Thanks Kelley for taking such good care of him.
Kelley is an amazing host. We felt 100% confident and comfortable with her taking care of our dog. Manny and Pippa bonded instantly - playing until they wore each other out. Kelley sent pics and videos. And she was flexible with drop off and pick up times. Definitely recommend Kelley, and Manny, as overnight hosts!
Cecil had another awesome stay with Kelley and Carlo! We received great photos and regular updates on how he was doing. We could see how relaxed and happy our boy was during his stay. It's a great comfort to know he is in good hands. Thanks guys!
Ulani is sight impaired and I was worried about how she'd react being in "strange" home with a "strange" dog and a "strange" person. I worried for nothing... Aunt Kelley is awesome!! She sent updates, pictures of the two " kids" lounging together.. Prior to Kelley, I totally relied on a family member to care for my four legged kids. It's a relief finding Kelley who I feel one hundred percent comfortable with and trust leaving my baby girl in her care!
Kelley was absolutely wonderful with our dog Cecil! I almost didn't want to write this review so we can keep her a secret :-). We could tell at the meet and greet that Kelley had a lot of experience caring for dogs, and she was extremely professional. She asked lots of questions about Cecil's routines and preferences before his stay, and was so terrific at accommodating his special needs. We received plenty of updates and pics/videos while we were away which really gave us peace of mind. Her house and yard are great also, with lots of comfy places for dogs to hang out. Cecil was so relaxed and happy when we picked him up and almost didn't want to leave. Lastly, her dog Manny is a sweetheart! Cecil will definitely be back!
My senior dog had his first visit with Kelley today. Kelley was very accommodating and flexible about scheduling his visit. My dog had some special needs and Kelley made sure he was safe and happy. When I picked him up, he seemed happy and relaxed. Great experience!!
