All the de-tails:
We, Rebecca and Ben, live with our pet children Eugene, the 11-year-old Pomeranian/American Eskimo, and Rita and Donnie, our two felines who tend to think they are also dogs. Donnie will probably flop over (he is half Ragdoll breed) and purr when he meets your dog, while Rita is more shy and usually hides at first.
We recently moved into our 2000 sqft 4-bedroom home and want to share all the space with some more lovable doggie companions. We have both lived with pets for our whole lives and can’t get enough of it! Rebecca has a Master’s in Education and uses her teaching experience to be pack leader and keep the dogs engaged and socially integrated with each other. Ben - well, the dogs play and cuddle with him like he is one of them! Maybe it’s his playful antics, maybe it’s his funny voices, maybe it’s just him.
We both work from home as voice actors and so we get to give all our pets (as yours will be when they stay with us!) 24-hour attention. Everyone is given free roam of the entire house, although they usually prefer to be in the same room as we are.
On a given day, we’ll go on a morning outing with the dogs, then have a leisurely breakfast and settle in for a day of work and hanging out. The day is punctuated by two more walks, some playtime and games with their many toys, and as many cuddles as we can fit in…which tends to be a lot, as voice actors do not work long hours.
Our favourite park is the quiet, 8-acre Wenderly Park, which is a block from our house. But, we often end up in Earl Bales Park since it’s only a 10-minute drive away and is one of the biggest parks in the city. There, we have hours worth of trails to roam through, and a spacious, enclosed dog park for the more skittish of our doggie friends.
In the evening, we all gather in the living room to read, watch tv, and play games from our various couches, armchairs, and petbeds. And the dogs and cats are usually as involved in the activities as we are. They particularly love watching special pet shows on our 85 inch projector screen. The only difference is the dogs usually curl up on the most comfy seats!
Ask us any questions you have, and we will respond within the day. We can’t wait to meet you and your dog!
