Healthcare Provider & dogs bestie

Pet care experience

Registered professional critical care nurse turned Nurse Anesthetist who loves dogs and has raised 2 active pups. Once I moved to NYC I raised a well mannered Greater Swiss Mountain dog, who frequented the dog park and always sat & maintained her manners in the elevator. Love to be active outdoors but can also accommodate for more laid back dogs - such as my current couch potato. She does great with other dogs. *I have experience with special needs dogs* - ie I Nannied in my 20’s for a family with a deaf bulldog who attacked anything with wheels (and their baby chicks 🐥 they were raising). At the same time managed to help raise their Labrador puppy who would run off their 10 acre property. I kept their two dogs, two kids, and six chickens safe so I guarantee your pup will be in great hands. - I’m a CRNA who administers anesthesia. Large yard near Tods Point and Binny Park with ample space for any pup! Will work with you regarding your dog's activity requirements....I love to run & can bring him or her to the park or if they require less exercise & more rest that can be provided. We also have more than enough indoor space for the dog to stretch their legs in case we experience a rainy day. I can work with you in terms of pick up or drop off as well. I can also provide updates or check-ins for your pup even if you just want to say hi :)

Rachel is AMAZING!!! It's always a little scary to leave your pup with someone new but Rachel made me feel so comfortable from beginning to end. She was very accommodating (even with our constantly changing plans) and made pick up/drop off a breeze. Her place is open and great for Lana to explore! Rachel was very thorough in understanding everything about Lana from feeding to best way to contact me to exercise requirements. Rachel ran with Lana every day to ensure she got enough exercise, sent us updates throughout the day (pics and anecdotes about what our girl was up to), and was even able to squeeze in a bath! It was so nice to pick up a tired puppy who smelled like coconuts :) I can't wait to go on vacation so we can use Rachel again! Thanks for being so amazing!

Rachel is the absolute best dog sitter! She graciously watched my pup over the Thanksgiving holiday and took such wonderful care of him. She sent daily pictures and updates and even offered to give him a bath! My pup had such a great time with her he didn't seem to want to come home. She was above and beyond great and I highly recommend her and will be using her again!
