ANNOUNCING NO RATE INCREASE IN 2107! You can relax with Fido (or Fifi) in my care! I'm committed to making your dog's stay a real home away from home! Here, your dog gets the VIP treatment (Very Important Puppy)! Basically, your dog LIVES with us (me, my dog & cat) and in the process of hanging out with us, gets plenty of individualized love and attention, including quality time and individualized attention from me and playtime with Timmy, my Westieand Kami my Maltese who love everyone and also my cat Tai, who has no fear of dogs. Meanwhile, your pup gets to relax in homestyle comfort! They've also just built a beautiful dog park in my community for your dog to play in safely unleashed. I'll even let your pup sleep with us if that's what s/he's used to -- you can't get that kind of one-on-one attention at even the poshest dog resorts and if you could, it would cost a fortune!
I'm a former SPCA and Pets on Wheels volunteer who loves dogs [and all animals] who's never been without a dog my entire life. I've been professionally pet sitting since 2013. I'm located 6 miles south of BWI, near Baltimore-Washington Medical Center in the Southgate Community in Glen Burnie, very convenient for those of you flying to and from your destination. I encourage prospective clients to schedule a meet-and-greet before booking to make sure your dog(s) like our home to make certain you and your dog will feel comfortable in our home. Hope to be hearing from you!
CLIENTS please NOTE: The figures on the Dogvacay Dashboard are not accurate, because it factors in booking requests I could not accept due to having a full house or a request may have been for a breed I was unable accommodate. It's not necessarily an accurate reflection of the number of people who decide whether or not to book with me.
WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING WITH YOUR DOG? Well, I'm licensed by Anne Arundel County as an in-home pet care provider and they REQUIRE that you provide a copy of your dog's current vaccinations, particularly rabies. Writing that information down is sufficient, along with your Veterinarian's name and contact information. It' s also a good idea to have a plan in place in the event your dog should need veterinary care, (It hasn't happened yet, but you never know). Other than that, bring your dog's crate, which should be equipped with a nice pad and a crate attachable water bowl [usually attached to the crate door], food and bowl and any other things you'd like to include along with any special instructions for your dog's care that you'd like to include. No leash necessary, I have several. My dog will destroy any toys you include - best not to include any to unless you don't mind losing them -- we have plenty of toys here. I also keep a steady supply of Milk Bone Marrow treats for guest pups. Keep in mind that if you give your dog treats, other dogs here need to get one too.
If your dog is a hesitant eater, [some dogs take time to get accustomed to a new environment and they sometimes express their anxiety by not eating for a day or two] it's a good idea to include a supply of wet dog food for me to mix in with their dry food so that they'll eat it readily.
A LA CARTE SERVICES: If your little one has special needs that require significant extra care on my part (such as needing to wear diapers, requiring puppy pads or daily clean-up issues) or something similar on a daily basis, there is a $10 a day surcharge.
FOOD: If you want me to provide food for your pet, please add a $5 per day surcharge to my daily rate.
In order to figure these additional fees into your reservation fees, you will have to let me know in advance of your desire for a specific additional service so that I can respond with a custom quote, [which you approve once I send it to you in order to lock-in your reservation].
NEUTERED AND SPAYED PETS ONLY PLEASE ~HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON~!
