Hi fellow dog parents! ! You can relax with Fido (or Fifi) in my care! I'm committed to making your dog's stay a real home away from home! Here, your dog gets the VIP treatment (Very Important Puppy)! Basically, your dog LIVES with us (me, my dog & cat) and in the process of hanging out with us, gets plenty of individualized love and attention, including quality time and individualized attention from me and playtime with Timmy, my Westie, who loves everyone and also my cat Tai, who has no fear of dogs. Meanwhile, your pup gets to relax in homestyle comfort! They've also just built a beautiful dog park in my community for your dog to play in safely unleashed. I'll even let your pup sleep with us if that's what s/he's used to -- you can't get that kind of one-on-one attention at even the poshest dog resorts and if you could, it would cost a fortune!
I'm a former SPCA and Pets on Wheels volunteer who loves dogs [and all animals] who's never been without a dog my entire life. I've been professionally pet sitting since 2013. I'm located 6 miles south of BWI, near Baltimore-Washington Medical Center in the Southgate Community in Glen Burnie, very convenient for those of you flying to and from your destination. I encourage prospective clients to schedule a meet-and-greet before booking to make sure your dog(s) like our home. Hope to be hearing from you!
CLIENTS please NOTE: The figures on the Dogvacay Dashboard are not accurate, because it factors in booking requests I could not accept due to having a full house or the request may have been for a breed I can't accommodate. It is not an accurate reflection of the number of people who decide whether or not to book with me.
WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING WITH YOUR DOG? Well, I'm licensed by Anne Arundel County as an in-home pet care provider and they REQUIRE that you provide me with a copy of your dog's current vaccinations, particularly rabies. Writing that information down is sufficient, along with your Veterinarian's name. It' s also a good idea to have a plan in place in the event your dog should become ill. Other than that, bring your dog's crate equipped with a nice pad and a water bowl [attached to the door], food, leash and bowl and any other things you'd like to include along with any special instructions for your dog's care that you'd like to include. My dog will destroy any toys you include - best not include any to unless you don't mind losing them and we have plenty of toys here. I also keep a steady supply of Milk Bone Marrow treats for guest pups.
If your dog is a hesitant eater, [some dogs take time to get accustomed to a new environment and they sometimes express their anxiety by not eating for a day or two] it's a good idea to include a supply of wet dog food for me to combine with dry food so that they'll eat it readily.
