Doggie Stay-cation!

Pet care experience

About this sitter: Ever think that your dog needs a vacation too? Well..we do! We are an adorable Italian couple (freshly married!). We live in a bright apartment in Boerum Hill (Brooklyn) with a big living room area, walking distance from Brooklyn Bridge Park and the waterfront, which has a nice dog park! Also, we are a couple of blocks away from Petsmart and an Emergency 24h vet clinic, so your puppy will always be in the safest hands and best care. Guido works for a Real Estate investment group, Ilaria is a creative mind: an actress and entrepreneur! Therefore she often works from home and has a very flexible schedule. In our free time we go for exploring walks, gather around a dinner table, and enjoy friends' company. We recently adopted Noah, our 5 months old boxer mix, the sweetest and funniest creature alive. He is very calm but with a highly playful spirit. Loves every single dog and always welcomed furry friends in our apartment. Se send us your pup, we will provide the rest: fun, cuddles, adventures and lots of love! Why I love dog sitting My family had dogs before I was even born. They have always been members of my family and my fiancé's as well. What else can I say..;-) About my yard We don't have a back yard but a cement patio for the building and often walk our doggies to the Brooklyn Bridge park and the dog run in Brooklyn heights. My experience administering medication Our doggie has gone through a lot in his early weeks, so we gained a lot of experience.

This was Finn's first time away from home and Ilaria and Guido took amazing care of him! They were super accommodating too as I had our flights mixed up and had to drop Finn off 1 day early. Ilaria sent texts and pictures/videos, and we could tell he was having a great time. Highly recommended!

Opie had a great time with Ilaria and her roommates. They sent me many picture and video updates, which reassured me that Opie was doing well and happy. I can't thank them enough for the wonderful care they provided for Opie while I was away. They are a great team and I would highly recommend them!

The only question we always ask concerns the barking. Our building is not sound-proof, and although it's a very quiet neighborhood and building, there are often keys and door sounds coming from the hallway. A dog with anxiety issues might find it a stressful environment..and we certainly don't want that! We don't have breed preference, mix or pure we'll take them all!

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks We walk dogs at least 4-5 times a day. Usually a short walk early morning around the block, then a nice long walk in the park before lunch, another brief walk in the afternoon, then it's playtime at the park at night before going to bed! Your dog's sleeping arrangement Whatever is most comfortable to the dog, just preferably not on our beds.. The bedrooms are small, so if it's a small/medium dog we can fit a small bed, or a blanket! The living room is large and has a rug. We encourage the owners to provide their bedding, because it helps them feel like home, but we can also cover up the couch if that's the pup's preference! Time I'll spend with your dog We have a pretty simple life, and our schedule changes day by day. I work mostly from home and usually leave the house for no longer than 4 hours at the time. Guido is always home at night.
