I used this guy through DogVacay and I really regret it.
I usually use other sites and this time my regular dog sitters were unavailable. So I searched for someone new to sit my 2 dogs. I found Rich and he had so many good reviews so I gave him a chance.
We scheduled a meet & greet and he looked nice although he seems so anxious to kick us out of his appartment. But I though he might be in a rush so I didn't pay attention to this.
We reserved the dates and times and he confirmed he will be able to sit them during all time. On Dec 22 I dropped off my dogs with all their supplies and was supposed to pick them up on Dec 26 on 7 am per our agreement.
When I came to pick them up I texted Rich that we arrived to his building but we cannot go up because we needed a key. After 10 min he replied back:"OK. I have my neighbor Keith coming down now." First time I'm hearing about Keith but I thought he might helps him so we can come up. But then I received another text saying:"I stayed overnight for Christmas with relatives. He's right in the building." WHAT??? Who is Keith again? And why Rich wasn't with my dogs?
When Keith was out with my dogs we asked him where is Rich? And he told us he had a meeting. I asked Keith few times this question and he didn't know what to say and told me to talk to Rich. Kinda shady. I tried to call and text Rich so many times but did not respond!! On the day after I received text message from him: "How can I help? " I replied back:" Not sure why since yesterday morning you didn't respond to any of my calls or text messages. I booked you for Christmas and paid you so much money to stay with my dogs and you weren't there with them. You stayed overnight for Christmas in someplace else without letting me know about it in advance or any agreement from my side. You sent someone that I don't know to return me my dogs. I have no idea where my dogs were all these 4 days. I paid you to sit my dogs and I expect you to be responsible enough to watch them and not leave them alone or with someone else without my consent. I tried to call you few times to understand what happened but you didn't respond. Now there is nothing you can help me with." His response was disgraceful:" Sorry for the confusion I was here with dogs. That night I was with family and friends and decided to stay overnight and plan to get up early but instead asked my friend and neighbor (who is also a sitter on DogVacay!) if he could stop by to meet you so you could pick up the dogs without delay. Again I apologize. I've done the same for him in the past, but he let the owners know in advance. So probably in hindsight i should have stayed with the original plan to be here to early to meet you or asked you about a later pick-up time, but my experience has been when people get home from a long trip they're anxious to see their pets."
Honestly I don't know who and if someone was even sitting my dogs.
We put our dogs with someone we thought is responsible enough to let us know if he cannot sit them or if he had some emergency that he had to leave, but this is not the case. Please don't do it for your dogs!
Rich was great! This was our first Dogvacay experience and Rich helped us learn the ropes. He was very understanding of our first-timer concernes and went out of his way to send photos and updates. Rufus was happy to see us when we returned but not so much that I felt he was in want of anything while we were away. We will definitely use Rich again. Thank you so much!
Rich was accommodating with my last-minute schedule and took excellent care of my giant lab puppy. If you're in Atlanta and need a pet sitter, give him a call.
Rich was a great host for Deacon. He provided my wife and me updates while we were away and was communicative and friendly.
Rich took great care of Shelby! He took her on daily walks and even on a trip to Starbucks! He was flexible with drop off and pick up times and very friendly. I will definitely request him again in the future!
Stanley had a great time. Definitely use Rich again
Rich accomodated our senior dogs' needs and zuzu seemed very happy when we picked her up. I will definitely use Rich again.
I've used Rich for the past year and he's great! He's very accommodating to my schedule, and my dog gets excited when we pull into the condo... a good sign.
My pup, Boo Radley, is blind in one eye and is going blind in the other. He doesn't like to go on walks because he is afraid and Rich made sure to be very accommodating and patient with him! He went above and beyond to make sure Boo felt comfortable on his walks and urged him to be more adventurous! It really shows that Rich loves dogs and really cared for Boo. He was very responsive when we texted to check in and would occasionally sent updates.

We will definitely use him again!
Great job and our dog was very comfortable! Nice location and good with us and our pet
We've used Rich three times now. Each time Mojo has had a great experience. Before we found DogVacay we had to board him. He would always come home nervous and with an upset stomach. It's nice to know when we can't take him along, there's someone we can trust and that treat Mojo like we do.
Thank you Rich!

Rich was a fantastic doggy host over the Thanksgiving holidays. He sent us text pics and never once informed us of their bad behavior while we were on vacation to make us worried.
I am honestly embarrassed at how one of my dogs behaved, but Rich handled it professionally and is working with me on the damages.
This location is a high rise condo/apt complex, so if you have a talker this would not be the best choice. However, the surrounding area is very conducive to walks (surrounded by parks).
Rich was a great sitter. He kept in touch with daily photos and notes and went above and beyond to not just watch our dog but to arrange outings--a walk in the park, a tennis ball fetch session--so she'd have fun.
Recommend: we'd use him for future dog sitting needs. Thanks Rich!
Rich was awesome! My dog Nala can be very anxious at times, I have had issues boarding her at bigger places in the past, she hates the vet because of bad boarding experiences, and now I have a perfect solution.
Rich was extremely accomodating, met with us beforehand and welcomed Nala like one of his own and sent us texts with pictures to update us. He took her to a bistro where she got to interact with people, took her to the park, played with her in the tennis courts, and really gave us comfort that she was in good hands.
Absolutely recommend!
What a GREAT first experience with Dog Vacay and all the credit goes to Rich! We set up our initial "meet & greet" at his perfect "super pet friendly" residence. He has a fenced dog area, path nearby for walking and my of my little guy sent through the entire stay. We stayed in touch through text and Rich was so flexible with drop off and pick up times...I am now spoiled...not too mention my Grady probably wanted to stay longer!
Very friendly, sent updates and pics. Highly recommend Rich.
Rich is fantastic! My dog came back today from a 9 day stay with him and is totally happy and relaxed. I'm jealous: I think she may prefer Rich over me! Best dog care experience ever.
It has been almost a month when Rich C. took care of our pups. Pippa and Troy.
Pippa is a 3 year old Golden Retriever, she needs to be surrounded by people.
Troy is a 6 year old Beagle, he likes to go out for walks.
After we did the meet and greet Rich accepted to take care of them for 4 nights.
During our trip Rich C. send us a couple of pictures of our pups at his balcony, looking at the soccer game. I think they really enjoy it!
We highly recommend Rich as a dog sitter :D
What an awesome first experience with this website and dogsitting. Rich was as nice as could be, sent me daily pictures and updates while I was away and made me feel completely at ease.
Mojo loved staying with Rich. He was with him for 6 nights. Rich texted us updates so that we could enjoy ourselves and not worry. Mojo usually has separation anxiety and it takes several days for him to get back to himself. Not this trip. It definitely helped us to have a good vacation knowing he was happy and well taken care of.
Rich was very responsive and truly seemed to care about my dog, Jacey. He even sent me a couple of texts while I was out of town to tell me how she was doing. Jacey had a great time, got lots of good exercise and seemed torn about whether to come home with me or stay with Rich! I'd say that was the sign of a good vacay for her!
Rich is wonderful! We think Vito wanted to stay with him :-) Am going to book again!!
Our dog Deli came back happy & healthy from staying with Rich.
Izzy had a great time and was pampered. Rich met us at the door, provided great details of her stay with him and basically treated her as if she was home! Love this service!
Our dog's second stay with Rich was shorter but just as wonderful as her first stay. Rich is a first rate DogVacay provider. We highly recommend will not be disappointed!
We had a great first experience with Rich C. and DogVacay.....our sweet girl really did have her own vacation, and ours was so much better with the peace of mind of knowing that she was being well cared for!
