About Cathy

40 Years Experience Caring For Dogs
We live on 10 acres minutes from Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins and DIA. My dogs spend time playing outside in 3 different yards. They also go for runs twice a day in a 2-acre field. When I'm in the house and not working, they can spend time in the house or outside as they wish. They all go down for naps in the late afternoon. After dinner, they come into the house to hang out while we watch TV. Some of the dogs nap in the dog beds, some in the crates and some hang out on the couch with us.

I can only take medium size dogs or larger because my fencing for the larger part of the property isn't adequate to keep small dogs in.

I do have cats, sheep, goats, ducks and chickens so the dogs have to be good around them.

I find that the guest dogs settle in better if we have a meet and greet before the vacay.

My dog,Scarf, is always comfortable and happy to get to Cathy's. She is well treated and Cathy and her husband put up with some of Scarf's "goofiness"!
Scarf was happy immediately at Cathy's.
Our goldendoodle had a magnificent time at Cathy B's farm. He made friends with her awesome gaggle of border collies. Cathy went out of her way to make our pup feel comfortable & entertain him. We would definitely have him visit again if our travels took us that way!

Unfortunately we had to cut our stay with Cathy short by a day, this was the first time our 2 German Shepard's were away from home or with family so they would not settle in. But Cathy tried her best to make them feel at home. We thought her property would be a perfect fit and she has a wonderful set up for pets. Thanks Cathy!!

Cathy is great! Lacey's first day at daycare was a bit confusing for her. But Cathy took great care of her and when it was time to pick her up, she was well adjusted.
Cathy was great! We did a pre-stay visit to make sure Ruby was okay with her other pets and she did fine. Cathy sent messages and video of Ruby. It was a good feeling to know that Ruby was being taken care of while we were away.
I had very high expectations for my dog's stay with Cathy and after the initial meet and greet with all of her dogs, I was confident that my dog would enjoy all of the free land to run and explore. Unfortunately, when I went to drop my dog off, one of Cathy's dogs severely bit me, completely unprovoked. It was very unsettling and the dog broke the skin but Cathy did not seem overly empathetic. I was anxious about the situation but felt once I was gone, the situation would be okay with my dog staying with her. Cathy was great about sending updates on how my dog was settling in but did mention that my dog's barking was irritating and that he was provoking her dogs. I asked her to explain what had been happening but she failed to provide details. This was very surprising to me since she had presented herself as a seasoned dog owner so I was baffled to hear that my dog's behavior was unmanageable. He can be vocal, has never fought and does know commands and is responsive. She finally sent me an email telling me that things were not going well and that my dog would be crated when she was not around. I made arrangements for a local friend to pick him up early since I was still out of town and very disappointed to learn that my dog was in a crate when my friend picked him up, even though Cathy was at home. I felt very deceived by the whole situation and surprised that Cathy never followed up with me about the dog bite. I sincerely hope that no one has a similar experience.

Cathy is awesome! She took in my very large problem dog and was able to manage him. I can't say enough good things about her. She really knows dogs and has a great place for them! Mary Jolly
Another great experience for Moka at the farm! Cathy is so easy to deal with and Moka is always excited to see her, making it so much easier to leave her. I know she will be well taken care of and be able to run off some of her energy every day in the large, fenced areas. When she's had enough running and playing, there's always a comfortable place to take a nap or play with the kitties in the house---as Moka is so fascinated with those cute kitties! We love the updates with pictures and videos while we're on vacation! Perfect location for us, too, as it's on the way to the airport---but even if it wasn't, I would go out of my way for peace of mind while away!

Cody had a good time at Cathy's ranch. She kept me updated on Cody's activities, during the week we were gone. She sent a video and text messages. I truly enjoyed hearing from her and knew Cody was in good hands. Thank you, Connie
Chloe LOVED her stay with Cathy while we were in Alaska. Cathy was so patient with our little escape artist and even began to teach her to stay on a tether without raising a ruckus. She sent us a few updates while we were away. It's so nice to not have to worry about her while we are relaxing on vacation. I would highly recommend Cathy to anyone!

Thanks to Cathy, we had a nice weekend and didn't worry about Cody. She has a dog friendly place, comfortable home and a large yard for them to play in. Our first experience with Dog Vacay was great!
My dog, Moka, had a great time at the farm! Cathy is so calm and knowledgeable, making the introductions to the other dogs so easy. Moka came home happy and I'm confident I couldn't have found a better fit for either one of us! Can't wait for the next getaway so Moka and I can each have an adventure!

Max and Zeke stayed for the day while we went to a family reunion. As soon as we open the Jeep's back they run to the gate. Cathy and Bill take great care of the guys. Went to Spain and they had both dogs for two weeks; they took great care of the dogs and sent pic's keeping us up on how they were doing.

Max and Zeke were given great care while at Cathy's. Both are Border Collies so had lots of company for their 2 week stay while we were in Spain.
Cathy and her husband made it so easy for us to leave out dogs while away on a trip. They were very flexible, letting us bring the dogs over ahead of time to see if our dogs got along with hers, and to look at the property. I received photos of my dogs running in the open fields or snoozing mid day almost daily from Cathy, making the separation that much more bearable. I was even delayed on my flight coming home and Cathy was very understanding and was able to watch them until I returned.

Cathy is a very loving and experienced dog person. She has a farm, which gives the dogs 3 different fenced areas to run. There were plenty of other dogs to play with, which my extroverted dog loved. There were indoor places as well as outdoor places. The day before Ari went to Cathy, Ari developed a skin rash which needed to be treated while he was at Cathy's, which Cathy accepted without missing a beat. Cathy's flexibility and dog-friendly farm made this a very enjoyable time for my dog, and my family. I will definitely choose Cathy again.

My dog was not easy to handle. She likes to jump and she is not small. Cathy managed to teach her some manners, which stuck for a while, so she knows what she is doing and I do not, I suppose. Anyway, my dog was tired out from the days of interaction with the Border Collies, and just seemed more mature when I got her back. Cathy is patient and has a really nice place for dogs, although a small dog might squeeze through her fence.
