There is a big difference between a dog who enjoys fresh air, exercise and socialization with other dogs compared to a dog who sits home alone all day. So providing a vigorous hike (or walk if elderly) and a cozy place to relax afterwards is key. Freedom to roam around our large home and backyard, as well as constant companionship by us, will make for a relaxed and content evening back home with you.
